Soooo...how the heck does he wear it when he's in Demi-lich form?

 

Piercing?

 

Never heard of a nose ring?

 

Do liches even have nose bones? Usually they rot away too. An eyebrow or ear piercing in sort of the same location, but through the bone could work, I suppose.

On the other hand, you're carrying stuff in a dimensional pocket (bag of holding), so I suppose the Kangaxx could keep it in there somewhere too.

 

It's from the 12th level mage spell, available only to liches. It's called "animate finger". It creates a disembodied figure that travels around with you for the purpose of wearing a ring.

 

Kangaxx is a dick. It easily fits.

 

No wonder he's so evil. He has to compensate for it some way or another.

 

Considering you fight him in a more complete form initially it could be you search the rest of his body or he has cartilage left on his body for a nose ring

Though bone can easily be pierced, particularly the skull for an unliving abomination.

 

But he still regenerates pretty fast in demi-lich form, implying he's still "wearing" it somehow.

This is just leading to more and more questions, for me: if his flesh has rotted away, meaning he has no tongue or cheeks left, how can he even speak?

I suppose the ring could sit inside his cranium, as his brain would have similarly decomposed. That way when you finally land the killing blow his skull would shatter, allowing you access to the ring. But then how could you have pickpocketed it before the fight? So many unanswered questions, damn you Bioware!

That's easily the coolest spell a lich could use. He could even scratch that itch, or pick his nose again, after all those years!
