    BoV - A good book. There is another book, The German Wars, that offers a somewhat different take on WWI, which I thought was really good also, if you can find it. It's the opposite of the popular myth that the Germans were entirely to blame for the war, but that the allies were just as much at fault. It goes into far more detail about the Serbian plot to destroy the German-Austrian monarcy. He also treats both wars as a single conflict, rather than two separate wars. Like Tuchman's book, it is well-written, with a tight narrative.

    I'll have to give German Wars a read. I would enjoy a different perspective on the war. Hopefully I will find a cheap copy on Amazon.... :)

    For a sociology course I'm reading William Dembski's Intelligent Design: The Bridge between Science and Theology. 40 pages in and I cannot stop facepalming. With this book, Darwinian evolution is completely on its way out :rolleyes:

    Either this man is a master troll, or he is a total, complete and utter idiot. Can't tell.

    Reading "Wise man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss. It is very entertaining and hard to put down but it is a major Gary Stue story. The 16 year old protagonist has been in more adventure, gained more power and bedded more women than a middle aged Elminster. Still, it is all good fun.

    "The War of the Dwarves", the sequel to "The Dwarves", by Marcus Heitz. Ok reading, nothing in there to challenge the imagination, but entertaining enough.

    I'm gearing up for a Dark Heresy game, so I've been reading up on the series of the same name. Sandy Mitchell's Scourge the Heretic and Innocence Proves Nothing aren't exactly the best gems of futuristic fantasy, but are enjoyable enough for the task at hand.

    The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo...like three nights.

    The Girl Who Played With Fire...sitting on my desk for two months now. Little over half-way through. But in that time I have watched every single episode of Mad Men, first through last. Such a good series.

    From now on I'm going to call it, The Girl WHOM Played With Fire. Totally going to make me some new friends.

    I finished Memories of Ice from the Malazan Books of the Fallen a couple of weeks ago. I'm really starting to get into the series. However, I decided to take a break and I started Feast for Crows. I waited before reading that one because I wanted to read Dance with Dragons right afterwards. Now I can... :)

    The Tormay Trilogy by Christopher Bunn

    [​IMG] Just finished Tormay Trilogy , fantasy series, and was a good read. Good character development, moved a rapid pace with the last book, The Wicked Day, kept you wondering how all the various plots were going to get resolved. Read all three books on Kindle for $ 4.99 and don't have to find space for them on my overloaded sagging bookshelves.
