Can't find the edittable version of icewind dale/2 .ini files on my pc. For BG it was under virtual store, but icewind dale seems to be hidden a little better. Anyone find how to get the console working on windows 7?

Guess there's an option for the cheat console under the config settings. If anyone knows the route to the icewind dale virtual store, please let me know regardless :).

It can't be repeated often enough: don't install your (older) games into the Program Files-folder of Vista or later Windows OS's.

Install your games into C:bad:Games or any other self-made folder outside Program Files and all your ini-files, save-games etc. will be where they should be: in your Icewind Dale (or Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment etc.)-folder.

OK. So the program is installed in is not the problem. I can't help you with finding the virtual store, as I run IWD under XP and Vista. Windows 7 is something I steer away from, reading all those topics on Bioware and Gog about Infinity Engine games not working properly under Windows 7. I hope someone who does know that OS can help you.

[IMG] Does this help at all?

As far as I'm aware the paths are similar in 7 to Vista 64 so following those paths will have the compatability files. Though obviously at GOG instead of Program Files. Hope it works, sorry I can't check :(

It's weird, it doesn't seem to make a virtual store folder for IWD/2 like it does for BG/BG2.

    Ty for the help though.
