Nah my plurality of "functions" does not entitle my niece with a plurality of gifts.

Highlight of the weekend: I dropped my phone in the toilet.

I was...somewhat drunk...and in the process of peeing, and it occurred to me to check what time it was. So I took the phone out of my pocket with my drunken butterfingers, and down it went. Just like in the movies. Really, I felt like a movie star.

Now, a lesser man, or a less drunken man, might've felt a little squeamish about sticking his hand into what was essentially a pool of pee, and I would not hold it against him. But I just stared into the bowl for a couple of seconds and plunged right in.

I rinsed the damned thing a little. It hadn't even stopped working. I then gave it the oven treatment, just to be sure. Works like a charm. The following morning I also treated it with a disinfectant, for my peace of mind.

The moral of this story is, stay away from alcohol, kiddies.

[IMG] Past few weeks I've gone COMPLETELY non-pc. I'll probably be accused of being some sort of racist monster some time.

Latest bit of fun has been laughing at an advert for a psychic who claims her 'lazy eye' is actually a gift from the gods to let her see into the future. Her 'About Me' page is full of "wah wah wah, I was mocked about my eye. BUT NOW I'M BETTER THAN EVERYONE"

    I needed cheering up :)

Well, I'll be damned, was some of the mountain of useless and boring cellphone stuff I wrote back in the days useful?

    ...THIS IS WEIRD

How is it gonna see into the future? It can't even keep up with what her other eye does in the present :p

Edit: Er, DotW, i'm pretty sure that trick has been around as long as mobile phones. I was doing that 10 years ago when, in my idiotic childish ways, I dropped my phone in something.

I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour earlier but I'm still knackered :( I've been waking up with a nasty cough on a night and it's tiring me out!

She's not doing homosexuals in general any favors by denying/covering up her gayness. Shame on the Ops.

Re: the oven treatment, I'm sure it's been around a long time but I remember it catching my eye on the BoM, probably in one of DotW's posts. It struck me as funny at the time that there's such dopes out there who would actually, uh...need to resort to it. Cough.

Oh come on, what do you take me for? It was just a pool of pee.

Actually, this trick allowed me to salvage a BlackBerry that was sold "for parts only" -- i.e. "dead". Still works to this day.

OK, I'm obviously in a weird mood. I was going to do this in the Alleys but it's so weird it really just merits a babbling mention. Brace yourself:

Tommy Lee is opposed to whale masturbation!
As you know, whale masturbation is a huge problem in the world today.

    Too <snipping> bizarre!

Exactly! Because I believe T2 has "laid" (harr!) claim to cow vaginas due to his whale endowment delusion.

This is the fifth day in a row we're getting temperatures (with wind factor) around -20 C (-4 F). This is getting annoying, and cold too.

The snows melting! Unfortunatly the cold last night means that we have 2 inches of ice on the drive but that should melt in a few hours (I hope).
