(btw, my "HA HA" comment wasn't made to sound like Kit deserved a reprimand, but because he was saying we wouldn't get one. We all deserved the reprimand, not just Kit.. :))

Nothing to see here... on your way... :p

I didn’t take that VERY unoriginal catchphrase as such. :p

But it's nice to know that *someone* here doesn't think I'm the "Patron Saint of Rule Breaking" who needs to be singled out (even though you just singled me out :p )and publically reprimanded...and not just by the mods either. Yes, I'm talking to you. You know who you are.
    You, right there...

    /me points

BTW, I didn't say "we" at all. That post was covering my arse....it was you people that took the subject and ran with it. So there.... :p

    ---------- Added 0 hours, 15 minutes and 25 seconds later... ----------

    Anyway, back to random BS'ing....

I got my new phone case and holster the other day. Even though it's the same make/model, it's slightly different from my old (broken) case. It extends over the screen by 1/16" or about 1.5mm on all sides. Just that little offset makes typing a pain in the arse. :nolike: I've got my micro files on hand, but it would appear that all my blades and other cutting devices have made their way to my storage unit. Lethargia is winning over the annoyance right now, so I'll hack the case later.

I won't comment on the Red Light District in Amsterdam because that would not be a PG 13 discussion but FYI courtesans were not strippers and we Europeans certainly did not invent Hooters. :p

So? Hooters is a sit-down, semi-family...but mainly male-oriented restaurant that serves gross wings and clams. The waitresses never strip. They wear low-cut shirts and short-shorts....that's it. And if you stare, you're likely to get slapped. So I don't know why you would bother bringing that up.
If you're going to try to slander the US, do your homework before you bring up moot points. It's like saying, "The US invented Sizzler!" Oh no! Cheap steaks and salad bars...we're all screwed! Damn those horrible Americans!

Point is, America is certainly *not* the only place in the world that has strip clubs...so no; it is not an "American thing." We just do it better...

You see slander in my posts where there is none (I can assure you). I only said in a very neutral way that I didn't see the appeal of strip clubs, nothing more (I could elaborate on my reasons but that wouldn't be suitable for the forum).

The Hooters remark was just for fun and giggles (hence the smiley).

That you are so defensive would lead me to think that you're feeling a bit insecure on that point though.

If you knew me better you'd know by now that (like most Europeans) I find America to be fascinating in its complexity and diversity (and as a consequence hard to understand).

The "American thing" comment was certainly not meant to offend you or rile you up. Take it easy Kit. ;)

[IMG] Yay! I found my tablet! And for once I mean the mechanical one so I can draw more now :)

Using it to browse the internet is a little weird though. Trying to find any anatomy/proportion guides for fantasy races to save me hassle of trying to make everything look okay from guesswork :D

Oh, calm down, Kit. You Americans are all alike - shoot first and ask questions later. Not to mention braindead and ugly.

Splunge, your respone was supposed to be...... "I have to think of sand-paper to scratch it." Huh, some Steven Wright fan you are! :D

I don't know how accuratly labeling Hooters (along with the fact that I don't like the place (not only because of the terrible food)) makes me insecure. If you know me, it's very difficult to offend me, and as such, I'm not offended, I'm just really f***ing sick and tired of hearing that term. Had I actually been offended, I wouln't have ended with, "We just do it better... " :p

Says the fat Canuck who can't remember a Steven Wright quote. And again, you're only going to find braindead, ugly, "shoot first and ask questions later" kind of people in the South East US. They're called rednecks. :shake:

Oh, you don't have to go that far. As long as you're using the word in an Al Bundy/'Married With Children' quote, then I fully approve! :shake:

CJ - you keep thinking that... :p

[IMG] I'm sleepy and headachey because Kev keeps needing to go to bed between eleven and midnight to get up at half six for work. Which means when I go to bed I'm not tired. Which means my mind starts racing and I don't get to sleep until the early hours of the morning. Add in multiple joint dislocations and that I get up at six thirty with him and I'm not enjoying his new job so much.

    Still. Painkillers tomorrow *happy dance*

Also he's been given his second promotion and he's not started work properly yet.
