I have a feeling this will come to nothing. But it's interesting that Iran wants to get into the picture in such a manner. Yet, not surprising....

That would be about the stupidest possible thing for Iran to do.

[IMG] Opinions don't have merit just for being held. I wonder whether maybe that bad rep was in some way related to this intellectually honest line of yours:
Indeed, for some incomprehensible, irrational reason totally beyond your grasp we are not allowed to do that.

It is nice to see an unashamed fascist express his opinion though. Doesn't happen that often, especially one who earns his money by beating up hobos and foreigners. Go go go Shoshino and show the world that fascism isnt dead!

Yes well, I firmly believe that it is aid which exacerbates if not causes humanitarian problems on this planet, take a patch of land which cannot support life, and give food to the people there, so that they can have children, who now need more food, we give them food, they have children suddenly we have a crisis.

look at true native tribes to these areas, take the masai in kenya and tanzania, people who actually know how to live off the conditions, they dont need aid. If people cannot adapt to their surroundings then they have to move on or die

why are we allowed to do that to other animals? what makes us so special? we are a disgusting species and the only species which doesnt live in harmony with nature. we do the same thing to other species on this planet as the Isralies have done to the Palestinians, we want their land we want to expand so we destroy their homes and f**k up the balance of the ecosystem.

if we continue to expand and grow we are fast headed to disaster, if people cant survive with what they've got, let them die.

    do I?

as for being facist, lets see:

    I agree

    I dont agree

I dont have the will to wage war, if posters will recall I was strongly opposed to the invasions of afghanistan and Iraq. However, if someone attacks me, they better be well prepared for fight.

    I dont agree

I have indian friends, I have pakistani friends, I have a muslim friend, I have chinese friends and I have turkish friends - I love their food, their music and their cultures.

    Nope

to an extent, I dont believe that a country should be led by any single figure or body with unopposed authority. I wish we had leaders who were more concerned with doing their jobs then keeping their jobs, cut the beaurocracy and political whitewash out of politics and maybe just maybe, we could actually get something done.

nope, Im a supporter of democracy.

nope, I advocate violence(not agression) as a means of defence.

I am a naturalist who believes in the natural course of the planet, all species are equal and should be treated as thus. Humans are the only species on this planet who live outside their natural ecosystems and attempt to alter the land to suit themselves rather then adapt to suit the planet. We live off the destruction of wildlife, both flora and fauna and then complain that we're hard done by.

Agent Smith in the Matrix has a good quote which sums up the human race "There is another organism on this planet that follows the same path, a virus - human beings are a disease"

That's my problem with the "negative rep thing." If people express an honest opinion, regardless, they should not be penalized for doing so -- regardless of how much some may disagree.

But I don't think you have to worry too much, Shoshino; people always will kill each other for completey stupid, unnecessary reasons and will continue to do so. I can't say if it reflects nature, or just human nature.

If you regard yourself with such disgust, why don't you just get a rope, help yourself over it and contribute to the rebalancing of the human population on Gaia? That would be consequent. You'd rather not? Because you have seen the light are are in harmony? It's just the Gazans that need some balancing, not you?

As I said, posturing, and juvenile posturing at that.

In nature I think most every species considers itself special in some way. I can't think of any species that doesn't fight for its survival and its life. Your view seems to run counter to the natural world, at least to me.

we are hardly fighting for survival, were fighting for domination.

I live near Bridgend, its hard to get ropes around here ;)

I have actually survived 2 attempts to take my own life, I dont think I have the guts to try it again also when I got married I promised my wife I wouldnt. I slit my wrist and survived because I had low blood pressure and I survived jumping from a bridge into a river - broke my leg in the process, that was painful.

In some way, if I was dead I wouldnt be able to protest building plans etc...

No quality organic hemp, eh? Protesting building plans is constructive. Keep at that. One can find meaning in doing such things, I guess. After all, to an extent, you have a say in building plans.

But then, nobody built a wall around Bridgend. Even thought that would account for the lack of rope. Presumably then you'd have other priorities?

The main idea of facism is that might makes right. The strong rule and the weak suffer. Basically enforcing your will with violence first and only.

I think this could go down as one of the Top 10 "WTF" moments in SP history. (I’m not sure what nine other comments would rank ahead of this, but I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt.)

Well maybe another of the ten WTF moments would be when the first SPer to open your profile page saw your picture, Splunge...

Wow, disappear for a day and look what happens. All sorts of people start breaking the rules and taking direct shots at someone expressing his opinions. Go at the opinions, not the person, and try not to be too obnoxious such that attacking the opinions equals attacking the board member.

I don't mean to attack another board member but I can't help feeling a bit worried.

Opinions are what they are, but the use of the verb "to cull" is a bit scary when it's used to refer to human beings and there is definitely a pattern. I'm not saying anyone on the boards is advocating genocide, but the idea of "culling" an entire population is reminiscent of what happened in the past with the Final Solution...

Anyway, it seems the Israeli government doesn't want an international commission to investigate the "incident" whereas Turkey is insisting on it. The Israeli government is actually trying to prove that the Turkish government was involved with the "Mavi- Marmara" I don't think we've heard the last on that one.

I think the only thing unnatural about this statement is the use of the word "we". The addition of "we" implies resorting to artificial/human means... to get nature to take its course. Contradiction. Justification. Excuses.
It would be nice if someone in this world actually knew what was best for everybody. I really doubt that though.
