 If Tiger touched her, I don't care how rich he is, I would shove his 9-iron up his own ass. (Which is totally different from shoving MY 9-iron up his ass, which I am NOT willing to do :D)

Seattle is close to signing Eric Bedard to a one year contract with 1.5 million base salaries and incentives. He probably won't be healthy until June, but when he does pitch he is very effective and can count on about a 3.00 ERA. Felix, Lee, and him would make a very good rotation come playoff time (if they make it). That's not even mentioning Ryan Rowland-Smith who is a legitimate #3 pitcher himself.

Also the Utah Jazz are on a nice run, so I'm pretty happy all around with my favorite sports teams. Well WSU needs to shape-up their basketball, but then again, they are the second youngest team in D-1. (1 senior, 0 juniors, 7 sophomores, 7 freshman including the walk-ons). The future is bright.

Great game last night; I am happy the Saints won. And unlike the last 3 Super Bowls, this was played very very well by both teams.

Och, a tragic death at the Olympics. Luge is a sport that involves racing down an icy track with an average speed of 140km/h using a sled and being protected by: (1) a helmet, end of list.

Gee, sounds dangerous  This guy doesn't win a medal, but he is hereby nominated for a Darwin award.

And this track is supposed to be the fastest ever. So, I highly doubt this is the last serious accident we are seeing.

Hate it when a player you like is traded, even if it makes sense... see ya Ronnie Brewer.

Sachin Tendulkar! First man in history to score 200 in a one day international.

    How do you spell LEGEND?

I wonder if the party in India has stopped yet.

Big woop. Professional 10 pin bowlers score over 200 all the time. And if you're a really bad golfer, you could get over 200 as well.

200? Pah, that's nothing. I find it works better to measure my golf by the number of balls lost.

Hockey World Championships are being played in Germany and so far Preliminary Group D has had some huge surprises. After 2 rounds Denmark leads the group with 5 points after beating both Finland and USA :D . USA is currently last in the group after losing to Germany in the first round.

How can you have a "Hockey World Championship" during the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Is the Hockey World Championship like the NIT?

It's played every year during the playoffs :) . Basicly it the best national teams available, but since it's olympic year many players who aren't playing for Stanley Cup refused to play in this tournament. IMO there's no point in having this tournament if there has been winter olympics couple of months earlier.

Anyhow, some nations have assembled decent squads. Russia has a strong team: Ovechkin, Semin, Afinogenov, Kovalchuk and Datsyuk as the star players. So far the tournament has been really interesting, Denmark and Norway have played extremely well.

I'm with T2 here. How can it be the "World Championship" if many of the world's best players are not in it?

You have to ask the IIHF here, but it is the official name of the tournament. Maybe it's the only way for European countries to actually win something at hockey :) . Usually the tournament is played in Europe, but in 2008 it was in Canada.
