I'm sure other people have done this too but I just wanted to share. If you can think of an unusual or striking event or victory by one of your party members please feel free to add it.

Like the bulk of the people posting here I've defeated Firkraag (red dragon in SoA that is the last mission the Radiant Heart gives paladins-a group of whom he already tried to trick you into killing).


This time Aerie delivered the finishing blow and thus has him, in all his red dragonness, listed as most powerful foe vanquished.

4-5 spells: I think the first one was draw upon holy might (if bless or chant hadn't preceded it as part of fight preparation), spiritual hammer, then harm, and magic missile from Aerie.

Other partly members may be helpful to knock down his stone skin but I have to ask what how it would feel for an arrogant red dragon to be downed by an elf girl casting magic missile.

 

I had Cernd of all people kill Saemon Havarian once (way back in 04).

 

I've found that harm rarely works against him -- however, the most efficient means is to set a trap (or put magic missile in a sequencer) and cast harm. IF the cleric can actually hit him (which is quite low) and IF it blows through his magic resistance (which is reasonable), you have a dead dragon. Of course you can also kill him with chromatic doom if Aerie is above 12th level mage (which requires him to fail his saving throw but blows through his magic resistance and does not require a successful hit).

Ray of Enfeeblement makes him a push over as well.

 

My brother played through to Throne of Bhaal and Viconia's most powerful foe vanquished was... moose. It appears to me that my brother doesn't know how to play Viconia, or Baldur's Gate II for that matter.

Like many, I find Neeber in Trademeet annoying. I often punch him with a strong character doing enough non lethal damage in one hit to render him unconscious. The emphasis is on NON lethal. Then one time I forgot I was playing a monk and he exploded with one hit.

I had Jansen backstab Firkraag to death with a dagger once. Not in one blow, of course, but still. He wasn`t the party member i would have placed money on, to kill the dragon, thats for sure.

I don't really remember having any such momentous event but I did remember seeing a screen shot from somewhere showing Firkraag polymorphed into a rabbit or some critter. But the most hilarious thing about it was the guy who managed to do that had to go through a dozen or more reloads. He had several mages casting lower resistance and kept on with the polymorph spell.

 

That's a squirell, not a rabbit nior. It must have taken a lot of reloads.

 

I went through an SOA/TOB game in which Jaheira landed the death blow on EVERY Dragon. The only one I didn't fight was the Silver.
