I know exactly what you mean: I can visualize some PG1 maps and enemy formations anytime. Still, the game has incredible replay value.

Washington can be a bit tricky scenario if you get there after conquering Europe in 1941. Norway is also challenging scenario, because there's no time to waste, your navy is somewhat outnumberd and the terrain and weather is bad. Once I played it with my friend (hot seat), it took about 4 hours :D .

For some reason I haven't played very much of other General games. Current PG2 run has gone well so far, brilliant victories all the way. PG3, Allied General and Steel Panthers are waiting their turn..

If you are also into Fantasy, which I would conclude you are if you are on these boards, I would recommend Fantasy General as well. The campaign is fun as well as are the individual scenarios. As their are special characters/hero types, not just troop types, it makes for a good mix. It includes everything from Light and Heavy Infantry, Light and Heavy Calvary, Archers, Skirmishers, Sky Hunters(Fighters from PG), Bombardiers(Bombers from PG) and Artillery. Plus the troop types vary from Mortal, Beast, Magical and Mech units. A huge variety. You play a rebel General, picking from a choice of 4 leaders, basically a Paladin, a Warlord, a Wizard or a Beastmaster(Druid/Sorceress mix). There is nothing like your units of Werebears ripping thru some Ratmen or Krindel the Archer moving through heavy terrain as if on a well paved road. You can also play the evil side in the scenario generator, which is another nice touch for this game. Never ending fun.

Been playing Prototype for the past few days. It sort of reminds me of GTA: Vice City, with the sandbox and the optional challenges, though the story and atmosphere are nowhere near as good. Still, rampaging about is a ton of fun, and that is exactly what I wanted the game for: some good old fashioned mindless rampaging.

Geneforge 5. It's good in that Geneforgey way, although I don't think as good as 1, 2, and 4. Looking forward to what new stuff Vogel comes up with.

Assassin's Creed II. Much much better gameplay than the first, although the visuals haven't changed much.

Dragon Age, I think I'm nearing the end. It's the x-box version and there have been a few glitches and I don't like the approval system but overall its pretty good.

Just finished Assassin's Creed II (PS3) - it was fantastic! Definitely worth the buy if a)you liked the first, but thought it was repetitive, b)enjoy open world games, c)actually like the story of the game you are playing :p, d)if you are human.

    Baldur's Gate II -- runthrough number 1,376!

    (okay, that's a slight exageration -- it's more like 927 run throughs)

    :tobattle:

EDIT: oh wow, just got a nifty Chrysoberyl gem

[IMG] Borderlands! Finished the game with Mordecai and Roland. It's like a 3D Diablo II on a wild-west + sci-fi setting with comic like graphics. There is also a monster named Rakkanishu :D

Dead Space - trying to Platinum it. I am going to do a run through on easy to get most of the trophies (mostly because it is a continuation of my previous game which, due to my friend starting the game, was on easy... once I finish it, I am going to do a quick run through on impossible mode to get the last two trophies).

Second run of Dragon Age this time with a cunning based rogue (thanks to Caradhras for build advice ;) ). I'm having a lot of fun, I usually play warriors in any RPG so I'm mixing it up a little.

The Sims 2. It's ridiculously addictive...

I have a Sim with the Pleasure aspiration - all she wants to do all day is to go on dates, play pranks on other Sims, and jump on couches. It's fantastic.

Have you tried Sims 3? My wife hasn't stopped playing it since I put the game on her laptop late last week.

Quake Live for me. Not particularly good, unfortunately- its got quite a steep learning curve when playing against human players rather than bots. But I'll get there...

The Neverwinter Nights 2 OC. Better than the first game by miles (yay for full party control!) but it has its annoyances. Spamming spells as a Sorcerer is always fun though. The story seems interesting with multiple levels going on, but I have the feeling they will all eventually merge into "kill the King of Shadows". Still I can't wait to finish the OC and move on to MotB.
