    I don't really know you too well, 8people, and you don't know me very well either, but I've been reading your posts for quite awhile now and I've always found your wit and charm to be worthy of reading! So, while money is sort of tight around Christmas time I donated what I could, and hopefully it helps, even just a little! If nothing else my donation can pay for the flame decal you'll surely be getting; what's an electric wheel chair without flames to make it look like it's going fast?!

    And I insist on not attempting to pay me back, think of it as a Christmas present. ^_^

    We're one step closer; Merlanni's $40 donation just came in, which puts us at $913!

    I calculated that PayPal takes out about 3,6% to process the donations, so the total that we need to raise is $1035.

    Anyway, I know realize what’s going on. Several years ago, Tal double-registered as Tal and 8people, in the hopes to raise $1,000, on which he could then retire. Evil, evil Tal.

    Oh well, I can’t let BTA be the biggest loser by himself…

    [​IMG] Believe it or not, but we've reached our goal, and then some! Since my last check, Silvery has contributed another $100, a member who'd prefer to stay anonymous has donated $50 and Splunge has made a hugely generous donation of $200!

    That brings the total to... $1263!

    What can I say but that I'm extremely proud of our community that has managed to pull this off in such a short period of time and so selflessly... I couldn't have hoped for a better turnout.

    Now that we've exceeded our primarily goal, maybe we could push it to $1500 as we're not that far off. I will leave the door open for donations until the end of the year, and what we manage to raise until then will be our final sum.

    Thanks again to all of you who have contributed and to those of you who will still do so before we conclude this donation drive. :thumb:
