Just got back from my friends Stag Weekend...we arrived at 4pm after a 4 hour drive, started drinking at 4.30pm...finished drinking 1am, slept for two hours spent the rest of the night drinking water and feeling ill but not throwing up thankfully!

Next day we went paintballing (the first time for most of us including me) had an awesome time! :D spent far too much on paintballs! Got back to his and started drinking again, though it was slower because most of us were still feeling the effects of the previous night, went to bed at 3am...that's a 25 hours day for me :p

Was great though and we all had a good time...3 and a bit weeks till the wedding :)

In related news, my legs are broken...they hurt like nothing on this earth when I try to move!! My own fault for being a stealthy badass and spending most of the paintballing day crouched behind cover and sneaking about

I just want my roommate to move out. She wants to move out. My other roommate wants her gone. It's just that she has no place to go.

    Begone!

Hrm, ex girlfriend called today... decided not to pick up, as it was probably a pocket dial, and I didn't really feel like hearing her have sex over the phone.

Of course, she could have been in serious trouble and is now dead because I didn't pick up.

Precisely what I was thinking but thought I shouldn't say :p Although that is probably more suited to the RRT.

 at the video - "Oh, the humanity!!!"

Ugh...I can't think of anything witty to say right now, so I'll just copy over my FB status...which sums it up quite well...

"Woo! I've officially been awake for 31 hours straight! :bad: Now that I've done everything that needs doing, and I can finally rest....sleep evades me."

The BoM has cooler smilies than FB. :)

Yesterday something went wrong with my Weisswurst Frühstück (that didn't include the customary beer). I immediately got a mild stomach ache, and over the next few hours got sick with chills and fever and spent the entire afternoon on my buddy's couch watching him playing Assassin's Creed 2 (impressive game) while his 9 month old son was playing on the carpet beside him.

I left to get my train and spent a most uncomfortable trip back to Cologne, in equal parts sleeping and searching a comfortable position to sleep. To come back home and sleep some more. I skipped work, slept long, and I'm feeling better, even feel some signs of appetite, but I won't push my luck. Typically, if I am still sick, I'll get fever around 6pm. We'll see.

I don't think it's swine flu because there is no coughing and no sneezing.

Good thing: I can spend my day today fixing my computer after my HDD broke on Thursday - and go to bed early.

[IMG] There is a German Market in Solihull, two middle aged women walked past me saying "Is this a german market?" the other proclaimed "I'm not sure, all the signs are in french"

I've somehow managed to forget an orange at the lab.

I was making an allenoic ester (ethyl-2,3-butadienoate, for the curious :p) and the Ph3PO "cake" left behind when extracted looks a lot like mashed orange pulp - that glaring orange colour that orange peels and juice have... anyway, oranges were dessert for lunch, but I kept it for later and the reaction made sure the said orange stayed on my mind rather vividly for hours, but when all work was done, I completely forgot about it.

By tomorrow, the orange will probably grow legs, drink silicon oil and breathe lab-grade nitrogen...

Oh, and I wish the people sitting behind me would stop talking about the ph-kinetics test due in 2 hours - they are not helping anyone, imo. Making me quite nervous, though :bad:

Never make a scientist nervous. One might be an evil scientist, plotting for world domination.

Oh I'm so looking forward to my SSD ... my single surviving hard drive really struggles with trivial multitasking like listening to music, surfing the web, saving some links while installing a game in the background, or creating (i.e. writing) an ISO image ...

The F'N Xmas music has once again reared it's ugly head.

There should be a social group for Xmas haters. I hate this stinking piece of trash, I hate the garish decorations, the music sounds like a never ending stream of buffalo diarrhea and is an excellent means of getting me to bash my head in the wall... I [censored] swear, by the time I die an old, pissed off SOB, the circuit box up there is going to be seriously scrambled.

Oh yeah, back to X-F'N piece of trash-Mas... not everyone has a happy, united family. That stinking turd of a holiday isn't pink and fluffy for me, and I despise it with a flame that's never going to be extinguished.

Would be cool if the fat red piece of trash existed, though. That way I could go to his house, spit in his face, and kill the fat [censored].

My replaced and thus unused HDD is reported by HDDLifePro as being in critical condition, one day after first use, advice: Get a new hard drive. Reassuring. I'm writing this as I hear my 'certified repaired' HDD chirping from under my table. And I have just filled out the support form for my other drive to send it in to Seagate support, which is for free at least, and I have warranty till 2013. Hey, now that I know how it works ...

Apparently buying 24/7 server hard drives for my box wasn't such a great idea after all.
