My specialty, which I learned from my grandmother and my brother, and that is also one of my faourite dishes, is Königsberger Klopse - meatballs, boiled in sour stock, served with a slightly sour white sauce with capers, and potatoes. My brother and even my mother laude it as better than theirs. They are right ;)

And boeuf bourguignon sounds like something I definitely want to try.

That must be something then! :yum:

It's not that hard but it's time consuming.

Puff pastry is a typo right? That was just regular pastry dough? Because I have never heard of using pie weights (the beans in this case) with puff pastry, and I have never heard of using puff pastry for quiche.

That cinnamon is some weird stuff, once I submerged myself with cinnamon-tasting liquid and then I pushed my mean neighbour through a dimensional fold into an unexplored region of space. Woooo

There's a reason why Frank Herbert picked "cinnamon-like" when trying to find something real to compare his Spice Melange to.

Though somehow "The cinnamon must flow" just doesn't have the same ring to it

    Someone said cinnamon? *sniffs around*

That's one insane aroma. I used to spend hours on my botany practice nose in cinnamon sample jars...
Imagine a jar of cinnamon bark that hasn't been opened in eight to twelve years. Add wooden cupboard. Open. Find unknown regions of space, as Morgoth mentioned.

    Yet another foggy day.

ION, I am once again ditching energy drinks to the curb. Coffee energy drinks are just too damn good to resist. Managed to skip two days, though. Next target is a week... I foresee a LOT of black coffee in my near future.

Yup. The only coffee cup I ever managed to drink normally had cinnamon (self-added). My mom makes "coffee that killed off the mammoths" and since I used her measurements to make it... hilarity ensued.
I put it in hot chocolate occasionally too.

Well, now you have, and it was no typo :) Normally one would use shortpastry, but puff pastry gives it an interesting twist (and is available ready made, which saves some time preparing) :holy:

When you use puff pastry, it will then turn out to be something perhaps more akin to a large pastry, but still with a quiche filling. It is important however that you get decent heat from below so the bottom of the dough will bake fully. If you don't, the bottom will get sticky and you need a spoon to get the (still tasty) mess out of the baking tray.

    Cinnamon makes everything better!

Take oatmeal for example, by itself that gruel is just awful. Add cinnamon...and it's *almost* edible... :p

I add cinnamon to my waffle mix, pancakes, mint n' chip ice cream (cinnamint), hot coco (on the rare occasion I drink it, and my favorite loaf of bread has delicious balls of cinnamon baked in to it! :yum:

I don't drink coffee, so no. But I add it to almost any tea I make, and to hot chocolate. As Kit said there's nothing that you can't add cinnamon to. And anything that makes oatmeal edible is to be treasured :D

Good job Saber! And don't forget, Act II must be in an underground cave with a bunch of zebras around.

Oh, most definitely. Zebras will be numerous.

Actually, the main character does get captured in Act II, so perhaps I shall put her in an underground cave.
