    That's true, but I've heard so many horror stories of RAID failures over the years (even if it only means wasting your time and not actually losing data) that I got completely over ever wanting to set one up. I have a portable backup drive that I just synchronize with my main every few days and that's worked very nicely for me so far.

    Pretty damn gone myself last night (thanks to a drinking game called boxing :eek: )but went to a friends at 2:30am and we made an awesome breakfast, which pretty well sobered me up. Good night. Got my mind off... things :/

    There are three recent circumstances at work where having RAID arrays pulled my rump out of the fire...
    For personal stuff, it's not worth it to me, but for work... oh yes, I love my RAID setups...

    RAID 5 would be so awesome if it was just a little faster. Drive's dead? No problem! Just pop it out, slap a new one in, and let the controller automatically rebuild the array on the fly.

    More things in life should be hot swappable. Wife's no good? Pop her out and replace her with a new one, and resume life as if nothing happened. :evil:

    Oh, I'm spreading the 'I need to upgrade my comp' virus, a very virulent and apparently very infectious disease. The second guy in a month decided to upgrade his computer after talking with me (If you need to repair anyway, why not get a real upgrade for your five year old for barely 100 € more?) :shake: I need to have a shop so I can cash in on that!

    Hmmm...a new CAD comic needs to be published every single day of the week. If Tim would drop those lame CAD Sillies and publish a plot-oriented comic every weekday, and leave the weekends for off plot strips (where the hell did Chef Brian go anyway?) I would be happy....but noooooo... :skeptic:

    I'm not a huge fan of CAD, but the Radiant AI comic on Oblivion was hilarious. Especially since I saw it while taking a break from pulling my hair out trying to get the idiot I'm escorting to not stand in my way :shake:
