One newb partly trained. One more newb to train. On the positive side, I had to suffer much less cash register time. Works for me.

[IMG] My boyfriend has started collecting High Elves.

    OH GODS THE SHAME!

Depressingly even I'm reading the book and thinking "Maybe they aren't so faggoty (in a bad way) as my initial impression"

Then I have to go flog myself and swear allegience to Ariel and Malekith again :o

On the other hand, just be thankful he isn't collecting Daemons- easily the most overpowered army to walk the Realms of Fantasy.

Did you go to church, or were you anywhere near a holy book of any kind? Headaches are the first sign that's you're turning over to the dark side!

I'm to the point that touching the aforementioned books causes an intense burning feeling in any part of my body that comes into contact with it. To read the words contained within is feels like a red-hot skewer is being jammed into my eyes.

    gamescom fair in cologne

[IMG] I was at the gamescom fair today, and it was ... ok-ish.

I did get a view at Aion (which looked and very much played like World of Warcraft with nicer graphics). There was, telling enough, nothing to see of Deus Ex 3 at Eidos. There is a nice looking Gothic follow on out, iirc called Risen. I didn't get a view at Diablo 3, The Old Republic and Mass Effect 2 (in that case, the game won't handle that different than Mass Effect, so that's no loss) because the cues were too long. The highlight was that I played Dragon Age. Eventually, I didn't get to see the Drakensang add on because I had about enough then.

Where we are at the point that was less than brilliant. Cues. I spent most of my time at the EA Games pavilion. The EA Games pavilion, home of Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age, was perpetually overcrowded. In fact so overcrowded that the cues blurred and mixed with the crowd and so poorly signed that I spent an hour in a cue, putatively waiting for Dragon Age, to find myself in front of a console with 'Brütal Legend', a pretty asinine and very dispensable slay fest boosted by Jack Black and Ozzy Osborne, and IMO, particularly when adding the time spent in cue, a considerable waste of time. The next time I got the right one and waited another hour or so to play Dragon Age, still, I was slowly getting thirsty and hungry with the option to stay or to forfeit 45 minutes of snail's pace progress

During the entire time at EA Games pavilion time I was exposed to their entertainer. The guy was an annoying moron, but having to wait for an hour to play 10 to 20 minutes, twice, there was no escape  Granted, the entertainers at Razer were even worse, but I had the luck to witness them in passing. But I got a poster. Yay. The double face Dragon Age/Mass Effect 2 poster is nice, and the Mass Effect 2 side is nicer. Anyway, about everything but playing Dragon Age at EA game's pavilion soured my mood ... :bad:

When I, in between 'Brütal Legend' and Dragon Age, went for something to drink I was stopped by a lady who wanted to make an opinion survey on the fair with me. She asked why I was walking so fast, and if I had time for questions. I replied that I soon would have plenty of time for her - when I'm back in the next cue - and invited her to join me. She didn't want to, but I guess I got my point across.

The highlights about outbalanced the negatives.

Dragon Age is actually written separately, though. :p
