Dead Reign and Spell Games, both by TA Pratt. Fun, worthwhile urban fantasy if you're looking for that sort of thing.

Naamah's Kiss by Jacqueline Carey. I had concerns that she was going to the well one time too many with this world, but I'm about 4/5 through the book and liking it a great deal, so I guess that's not an issue after all.

Just finished The Graveyard Book, it was awesome. I'm about to start Day of the Dragon by Richard Knaak set in the Warcraft universe. I picked it and the 2 other books on the cheap so might as well. The War of the Ancients was fairly entertaining stuff so I'm hoping this will at least do that as well.

Anita Blake: Skin Trade- Laurell K. Hamilton.

The series has really picked itself back up. This book was a lot more like her first ones :)

Warbreaker was good, although not as good as Sanderson's other work. Not sure what to read next.

The Iron Dream - Norman Spinrad. This is a man who clearly has a bone to pick with some of the tropes of the SFF genre. What we have here is a fantasy...well, nevermind, I'll just quote wiki

Finished The Silmarillion. Next up: The Hobbit. After that, well ... try and guess. :) It's been years since the last time I read up on Tolkien.

And it's not even for school! I have just thought over the summer about the possibility of acquiring official auditing competence, so I thought it might be a good idea to see what it practically includes.

Scar Night by Alan Campbell (I think that's the authors name) I wasn't so sure at first but I'm really starting to get into it.

The Pirate King, by Salvatore. Typical Drizzt novel, though many other characters are prominent as well. As I find Salvatore not as good a fantasy writer as some of the bigs, I always fall back to good old Drizzt for some getaway time.

Finishing off the Mistborn series and I must say that they choose well when they picked Sanderson to finish WoT. He is a talented writer, with lots of good ideas and interesting storylines but jeez, the amount of bland repetetive filler material he fills his books with is astounding. Despite skipping roughly half of the books I am still enjoying it quite a bit. The overall story is great and the stuff that isn't filler is good. Which pretty much describes Jordan as well so I think we are good for that series finish :)

I'm currently reading "Wolf Hall" by Hillary Mantel. This is a fabulous book from the viewpoint of Thomas Cromwell; the too-much maligned Lord Privy Seal of King Henry VIII. Various things are tributed to Cromwell as having been instigated by him, but Henry was a hands-on ruler. No one did anything except at his command. Everyone was his to do with or dispose of as was his desire.

I, also, finished reading a Thomas Cromwell biography written by John Schofield. This was another excellent that I can't say enough good things about.

    Most Sincerely,
