    -_-

Unfortunately, I know that when you call me an idiot, it's just your twisted way of telling me how much you love me. :D
With that in mind, let me just point this out:

Probably just your upper lip...

Working on the electronics of a guitar is kind of fun in a weird way. I wonder if you can get addicted to solder fumes?

That stuff gives me a splitting headache unless I do it in an extremely open room :(

I've been in frequent contact with such fumes for the past 3 years (on and off for the past 8 years) and I'm not addicted to it. Mind you, I have bad eyes, so when I solder, my head is usually directly over the circuit, so I get a face full of fumes. I miss the good old days of 60/40 lead solder...that stuff smelled better. :skeptic:

For some reason Windows Update keeps pestering me about installing updates for MS Office, even though I don't have MS Office installed...

ION, should I bother installing IE 8 (yet another update), even though I never ever use IE? Does it patch any security issues in Windows Explorer or some such?

I hear that IE8 is on par, if not better than Firefox.

I'm not going to use it, I've grow comfortable with Firefox and besides I don't think I'd be able to live without my selection of plugins (and I doubt IE8 can do all that stuff out-of-the-box). I was just wondering if there was any benefit of updating to IE8 other than it being a better browser than IE7.

Firefox got fat over the years. They need to seriously work on its stability, speed and efficiency. Still use and like it though.

Don't forget their compatibility, working as a webdev I've found that Firefox can be quite a ***** to support too.

Ugh, that is true, it uses so much memory on my computer... it uses anywhere from 2 to 10 times as much memory as iTunes, which is sickeningly RAM-sucking as it is.

That's mainly because of memory leaks which have been a consistent problem in Firefox for years... that and more problems with the Flash integration than you can shake a stick at.

Heh... you dish out as good as you take jabs, so that's A-okay with me.

Heh... and what kind of wildlife lived in your ZZ beard? That being said, there are really a serious boatload of morons up here. You'd probably feel like bashing someone in after a few hours around. I know I often do. Usually save it for friends of my former housemate, or the occasional random A-hole rapper who's looking to get his ass whooped -- and dude, that's what I call entertainement!

    But I digress.

I actually had a family of humming birds living in my beard before I shaved it off. The wife loved the built in vibrating action...

As for IE8, I installed it along with all the other "crucial" Windows updates after my reformat 2 days ago, and it's not so bad. When I open it, two processes for iexplorer show up in the task manager...one is 45MB, the other is 17MB.

Not sure how that compares to FF since I don't use it.

Well today certainly sucked... some !@#&*& tried to hit the queen with his car. Four people dead and many wounded. Story at CNN I was watching the Queensday parade this morning and suddenly a car came crashing into street ramming a monument next to bus.

**** I'm pissed. Today was supposed to be a festive holiday that is celebrated throughout the nation, but now I end up putting the flag half-pole :(

No matter how much memory it takes up, it's less then Safari :). Plus I find that IE has runtime errors a lot with my other computer. :skeptic:
