As Kitrax said, that was him. I merely mentioned Gyarados!

Man, I had the scare of my life at work a few hours ago. The lack of sleep finally came full circle, and I almost passed out... along with a panic attack.

I can't do night shifts anymore. I'll give my two weeks forewarning and I'll find something else.

I think you've mixed me up with BA... I am very understandable!
    See! :D

Speaking of understanding...I understand that I woke up early yesterday, I also understand that my body is extremely tired, and I also understand that the turkey sandwich I just ate contains tryptophan...and yet, with all this understanding, I've yet to crack open an ice cold Mt. Dew, and I don't understand why. Oh yeah...the fridge is in the other room. :skeptic:

    Mmmmm....Problem solved! :yum:

I was watching TV, I had a laptop on my lap, and a cat asleep across my outstretched legs...it took more than a little effort and motivation to get up. :p

And no, it didn’t take 14 minutes to get a drink….it took 14 minutes to get up, get a drink, search for the remote, lay back down and get situated, and then post here again...oh, and I didn't get right up, I waited for a commercial to come on before getting up. :p

Reading that explanation makes me seem really lazy....so to beef up my story:
I live in a 200 room mansion, and the desired drink was in a fridge on the opposite end of my magnificent mansion.

    There....that will do nicely. :D

Did you consciously decide to ignore the rest of my statement, or did you not even see it was there? :p

On your way, stop and smell the flowers, babble a bit, have a peak and see who's in the FAI... :p

I was in full flow with my writing tonight and then Rob came in and started staring over my shoulder and talking at me. It was really off-putting so I've had to give up for the night :(

FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald's employees told her they were out of Chicken McNuggets.

According to a police report, 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.

She says employees refused to give her a refund, saying all sales were final.

A cashier told police that she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.

Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge.

A McDonald's spokeswoman said the company didn't immediately have a comment on the incident.

What the hell is wrong with people? This is just something bizarre that doesn't merit an Alley thread, so I thought I'd post it here for kicks.

The woman obviously needed her nuggets!

I don't quite get the no-refund. All sales are final? You didn't sell anything since you were out of the merchandise!

BTA, a McDonald's spokesperson later said that she should have gotten a refund and that they are sending her a gift certificate for a free meal.

But still, 911 for being out of nuggets? She must be out of her's...

I managed a McDonald's. She would have gotten a refund had she talked to a manager. Many times the kid at the counter is very inexperienced and prone to ... spout an answer that is both incorrect and inconsiderate. Sometimes, the comment is made in jest, adolescent jesting at that -- which most adults seem to find offensive.

You would not believe the number of free apple pies I gave out because of something one of my crew said.

The woman is a nutcase, though.

T2, how was managing a McDonald's? I've heard that managers who are good at what they do are quite successful when compared to many other jobs.

Saber: That's mostly true of salaried managers. Once you have a store the wages are decent too. But shift managers don't make much more than their crew. It wasn't a bad job for high school and while I was in college.

I once had a Playboy Playmate come in the store when we weren't busy....

"The Secret Life of T2Bruno - From McD to Warships and Beyond"

I smell a best-seller! :D But seriously, have you ever considered writing a book? From what I've read here, you lead a very interesting life compared to most of our dull existences... and you've obviously got enough talent to write it on your own to boot!
