I'm an Australian, and even I am well aware of the manner in which O'Reilly treats his guests (I can thank youtube for this). His method of operation for interviewing a guest he disagrees with involves asking them a juvenile and leading question, cutting them off when they are one or two sentences in to the answer, and then firing off a load of non-sequiturs while outright distorting the viewpoints of his 'opponent'. If the guest takes the offense, O'Reilly bails like a little *****, screaming 'cut his mike!' And it doesn't end there, he often needs to get the last word in (sometimes on his next show).

Great Snook, let me tell you that you're treading in dangerous waters by defending a dipstick like O'Reilly.

Would you really like to rehash the last election on a thread about Bill the Clown? Two words: Sarah Palin. Good luck (you'll need it).

HAHAHA! I like that word. "Dipstick". I could just say it all day long.

I often don't watch talk show hosts of any political stripe because of the behaviour you mention, count. The Democrat on Crossfire was just as bad, IMHO, at being a sanctimonious jerk and hauling up all sorts of BS straw man arguments and belittling his opponent. I don't like it when anyone does that.

I was actually just replying to ion's rude remark with a similar statement.
How ironic is this, there is a bill o'reilly ad at the bottom of the page!!

The ads are an automated board function generated by key words being discussed in the topic. Which is why we see "Gay Marriage? Take this poll!!" ads in the gay marriage threads, etc. So not so ironic. It'd be a coincidence, not irony, anyway.

Maybe it's just a coincidental irony, but there was an ad at the bottom of this page that said "lern betr gramer" just now.

    :p

No need for confusion, DR. I was just in a silly mood last night. I wasn't correcting your grammar (because there wasn't anything to correct). :)

    And the thread derails! Woooo!

On topic... well, all news is biased from some point of view, so I stay away from it.

Huh? If you avoid anything that's biased, you must spend most of your time living in a cave.

Seriously though, one has to accept that everything in this world is biased and just take everything with a grain of salt. Text books, news shows, comedy shows, etc. So what?

My biggest beef with O'Reilly is, deep down, I don't think he gives a crap about politics, the Constitution, the nation, morality, etc. He cares about ratings and the $ it generates. Period.
