    Hello,

I've been off the board for months due to an extreme workload. When I broke out my discs of BG 1 I found that the first had been damaged due to bad storage. So I'm going to buy a new set.

Can anyone tell me if the BG compilation set has the same special features as the Baldur's Gate II collection? (The material on the bonus CD?)

Thanks in advance, Al the Dumb

I've replied to this in the SPS forum already, so just a short version: no, but you can get everything from SP, so it shouldn't matter.

Taluntain, in the future when you make a reference to another post of yours and say you aren't going to repeat the information, could you include a link to said post so people can refer to it for more information? It's common courtesy on most message boards, and not just limited to Sorcerers Place.

Given that I did repeat the same thing I wrote in the other thread, just in a few less words and detail, I'm not sure what exactly you're going on about. Also, since the SPS forum is a private forum for site supporters, linking to the thread would only confuse everyone who didn't have access to it since they'd be denied access to it. Otherwise I obviously would have linked to it.

But since this wasn't some top secret post, everyone's welcome to it, especially those who ask as nicely as you:

I'd go for the "Compilation" listed last at http://www.sorcerers.net/Gamestore/index_pc_bg.php . It includes both games and expansions, so it's a full set, and it's available from Amazon direct.

Finding TOS new is hard, and if you do, it'll likely be expensive because it's rare at this point.

The bonus/collector's edition merchants for BG2 you can download from SP if they're not included with the Compilation, so you won't really be missing out on anything. Soundtracks are among the SPS downloads too.

I have just received my copy, but it will only run on English language systems. I know there is a method to make the game think this is the case, because I saw it on a BG forum.

Can someone direct me to this method? (Other than changing the language setting on my computer, I know how to do that.)

Thanks, and happy New Year, Al
