[IMG] How do you define what the area of effect is for a given spell? I can't seem to find any spell making tutorials that mention this. I'd like to make a "Negative Plane Protection 10' radius" but while I can change the duration and even make it a level-based duration, I can't seem to get it to target multiple people.
I tried looking at the differences between Protection from Evil & Protection from Evil 10' radius and am still baffled.

Nor can I figure how to define something as party-friendly. I'd like to make a party-friendly Entangle similar to BG1 (but still having the 'cloud' effect).

I have both TeamBG's IEEP 1.0.9 build 40 and DLTCEP, and I like IEEP better.

Could somebody tell me how to make those changes both editors?

It's all hidden in Projectile animation (DLTCEP).

NPP - when you edit this spell in DLTCEP, you could change Projectile animation for example to 158-Instant Area (Party Only) (INAREAPA)

Entagle - you have to edit projectile itself. Projectile for spell Entagle is ENTANG2.pro. Open it with DLTCEP, click on "Edit area extension" and flag "Target only enemies".

Thanks, I had no problem with Baldur's Gate II, but I can't seem to edit the projectiles in Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate I, or Icewind Dale II. They seem to be unique to Baldur's Gate II. At least with DLTCEP. Any suggestions on how to make changes or at least where to get a list of what is what for the other IE games?

I should have specified I wanted to do it for both, but given that the tools and methods I used was identical when I changed "Magic Stone" into "magic stoned", I didn't know there would be a difference this time and didn't think it really mattered. At least for the "entangle" spell. Obviously I can't do the same for NPP.

If I've screwed up my DLTCEP installation/configuration I'm going to have to ask for help fixing it. I've already taken the step to uninstall it, download the latest version (7.1P) as well as download the latest WeiDU that it depends on.

Projectiles in those seems to be hardcoded, so you can't edit them. But you can change the projectile assigned to the spell by overwriting the number in DLTCEP.

    Here
is a list with projectiles in BG1 (there are no lists for IWD or IWDII, at least I can't find them).
