It's cold...really cold. We're supposed to get our first valley snow storm of the season today and in to tomorrow.

Attention Canadians!!! Take your frigid arctic air back...we don't want it! :p :rolling:

There is a Sikh procession down on the street under my window. Loud music, loud drums, fancy colours, and bearded, grim looking tall guys with large-ish sabres walking in front. By the looks of the latter, I presume one sensibly doesn't want to mess with Sikhs.

And, of course, all very orderly.

tl;dr of a part of my first faculty lesson this year, a.k.a. brushing up on Latin...
    (Revising and bored. )

EDIT: Meh, forget that. (I wrote a long and boring post about school stuff (mostly Latin), but common sense prevailed and all that remains is:

Misce fiat pulvis ---- meaning mix (component) into a powder (so that it becomes powder)

"Misce fiat pulvis your enemies with Disintegrate"...

[IMG] Hmm, when running down a stairs two days ago, I fell and twisted my ankle. I must have torn or hurt one or some of the outer ligaments in my right ankle. So I suppose, because I just noticed that I have this characteristic bruise - purple, finger length, over the sole of the foot :almostmad:

Damn it. Even though I can already walk without pain, it'll slow me down for six weeks - not to mention that I need to rest my ankle.

I just splurged... got another CZW DVD and another phone for my collection. At least the new phone I bought is a brand you don't see in Canada AT ALL. I thought about a Japanese phone, but $400 is above my budget... for now.

*EDIT* Holy [censored], 82$... doesen't matter, I can afford it.

DotW: Happy Birthday. If I think of you while watching CZW, does that count as B-day wishes?

Kitrax: We don't want that cold air here either! BTW, I heard from people I've met online around SLC that they get more snow there than some places in Canada!

I'm thinking about selling my TV and PC screen, and replacing them with a 24" LCD screen.
Money is the issue. I have to purchase the new one from Huuto.net (kinda like eBay) or find some second hand electronic shop. And hope the thing works....

Great tree, but you forgot one thing: Christmas hating starts in 3,2,1...

As long as there is your standard CZW arsenal of barbed wire, light tubes, cages, thumbtacks, fire, weedwhackers, etc, then yes, it does.

Good news! I can still play basketball (maybe not according to doctor, haha) as long as I just tape my brace thing on really really tight to the point that it doesn't shift...

    My life is not over.

Got some disheartening news today. A friend I was interested in became engaged within the last 48 hours. Six months ago she had no interest in dating, and I don't think she saw this coming. Is it possible to be happy for her but heartbroken at the same time?

Yes. But one feeling might be stronger than the other.

Did you know she was dating anyone? If not that would be a disappointing shocker. As for the being happy for her and heartbroken, that's always difficult. Like my saga (lol) in the relationship rant thread, my interest is dating one of my best friends. I'm happy for them (as long as they are going well), but let's also say I wouldn't be disappointed if they split :p

  I think I'm in love!
That might be true due to the Lake Effect snow we get after most storms...I'm not an expert on the subject, but from what I know, the Lake Effect causes a double-whammy of a snow storm. Luckily for me, I don't live in the typical path of a Lake Effect snow storm...we're not immune to it though, I used to have a picture of my old car under 4 feet of snow, which fell in a single, Lake Effect-backed storm. :rolling:

Yes it is. If you care about someone you are glad they are happy but you can't help feeling sad for yourself and your disappointment. Quite natural.
