Speaking of high speed...I got a taste today of what 20Mbps fiber feels like...and WOW! I want it even more now! :wail:

In other news...the gears of invention are turning in my head. I have several ideas for several marketable products that are all based on the same circuit! I've still got to learn how to program the PIC, and that class is still a couple of quarters away...but in the mean time, I can be designing the different housing thingies and researching all the legal stuff to let people know that this sucker is MINE! :D :rolling:

Just popping in to say: I en't dead yet.
But, RL has been unbelievably complicated lately.
Adulthood is not all it's cracked up to be, boys and girls.
    Haven't read a post or added a comment in . . . two weeks.
Love you all, but back to life and its hazards and complications.

A site test? You mean they don't know the boundaries of their own infrastructure? Normally, they charge $15 for a "connection" fee...which all they really do is flip a switch...and presto, you have high speed.

In other news, I am sitting directly under a vent and I'm freezing! :bad: :rolling:

Caught a damn cold, but my CZW on crack immune system is kicking it's ass. The fact I had a straight 12 hours of sleep helps too.

I just ported out of Bell Stupidity... transfering my number was supposed to take anywhere between 30 minutes to two hours. Didn't take anywhere near that - my RAZR was fully functional an unbelievable EIGHT MINUTES later. :jawdrop:

[IMG] First day out of wheelchair, been hell

Was in it for about a week and my body was starting to shut down, needed to get out of it and move about, but couldn't manage the walking today.

Snapped at two people, probably offending them. One was a girl who walked straight into me, the other a guy in the lift who stood staring at me, even before he got in the lift (pushing me aside, even though we were the only two people waiting)

The amount of gawkers around you'd think there were fewer cripples in the world :almostmad: People revving engines while I'm on a crossing isn't helpful either. Neither is nearly running me over, though I suppose I can't help being slow any more than they can help having tiny features of their anatomy which they feel obliged to compensate for.

One of facebook's languages is English (Pirate). That makes facebook actually interesting to look at these days...

Thanks for bringing that to my attention Saber... English (Pirate) is good for a laugh.

Haha no problem, I am quite amused!

Sorry to hear that 8 :( Although I have not had to deal with crossing the road in a wheelchair, I also hate when people rev their engine or honk when I cross... sometimes I wish I could turn into the Hulk and smash the front of their car in for payment...

People staring is almost excusable, but expecting you to be able to run across the street? That's just incredibly selfish and inconsiderate. Sorry to hear you had such a bad day.

I always hate it when people stare at my friend in his wheel chair, your heart just goes out to the kid because he doesn't want the attention. It's almost worse since he has such a nice chair. Sometimes it prompts people to comment on how nice it is and it takes all he has to not comment on how nice their legs/muscular system are.

[IMG] I have a pretty sweet ride, unfortunately my fluffy dice broke the other day after getting pushed about in crowds. So I need to get another pair. I also need to fix my horn, I do have a bell but it isn't half as effective for crowd control.

Got a load of bumper stickers and four pacman badges (Pacman, cherries, wibbly ghost and Blinky)

My shair is metallic, glittery blue as well. My sticks are plain hospital issue crutches, I do have a walking stick for when I have a good day.

I have a TENS machine I wear, which sits on my belt and people obviously look at, so I have a fluorescent smiley sticker on it.

People stare, people make comments, in personal experience the more you try to fit in and hide being a crip the worse you get treated. At least I can make the best of it that I can, even if that means giving the gawkers something to look at, at least some of the laughs will be with me instead of at me!

Kitrax: Because I'm in a rural area, the Service is wireless, and needs line of site to the tower. WE're definitely in range, but we're wondering if one or more of the treed on our fence line will interfere with the signal. If that's the case, then we just take the chainsaw and solve the problem...

8: It's time you learn the truth about humanity--People are friggin' morons. There are just way too many ignorant people out there...

People make comments, in front of you? Some people actually laughed? What the... OK, so I'm far too naive about human nature it seems. Gnarff is right, people are morons.

    I'm perfectly chemical free - I don't even drink coffee :p .

And it's a lab with long corridors and illogical distribution of things needed - you have to run like half a mile to get a single apparatus assembled. :p

8people: I can't believe people actually act that way.

RL had a bigger hammer - but I stole it, so I'm back. :)
