Saerileth mod in Throne of Bhaal

Hey i recently downloaded the saerileth mod and am now on the throne of bhaal part, i am just wondering are saerileths love talks timed a lot in TOB? or storyline drive, because it has been a while since the last lovetalk, if anyone could give a general rundown of the lovetalks and how to get them that would be even better (long as it dousnt contain whats in them ) but what i really want to know is do i have to complete more story until more lovetalks?

 

you may wish to ask at the saerilith mod homesite as it doesn't have many fans here. They would probably be able to give you more info than can be found here.

I think they are timed. You may just want to pause your game for the time. You could have ended it, just use SK to get it started again. Does anyone else remember?

 

i did try looking for saerileth specific forums, but all i found was chosen of mystra forums i think which are locked now

 

Having (very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very painfully) carried the Saerileth romance in ToB, IIRC, yes, dialogs are timed, but one of them is not timed, but triggered at the Temple of Bhaal.

 

kk, is there a specific place i need to be for them to trigger? i been to the temple and got the one when u rest and saerileth feels bad, and i think the last timed one i got was when she worries about me becoming a god, oh and the last 1 i got i think was about the fall of saradush

ok, i have been playing for several hours now, i think the timer has broken :/ either that or i broke it when trying to fix it, but i loaded a game before meddling with it so i dont think so, how can i fix the saerileth romance in shadowkeeper?

i think i worked out the problem
it seems using shadowkeeper causes romances to break i think
it has happened on another playthrough i think when i tried to fix it when it wasnt broken, this time, i think that i used shadowkeeper to remove a spell from a spellbook and in so doing the timer became stuck, guess i have to reload SOA saves and start TOB again

 

It's been a long time, so there may be other dialogues triggered by specific events. Oh, yeah, her reaction to the PC becoming a god is PRICELESS... you just gotta see it!

speaking of mean, i like to run through most dialogue options with saerileth, but i felt terrable for a while after the one with what happenes to saerileth after you 'go with' the succubus, it really made me feel bad

What do you mean, "mean"? Saerileth is my favorite whiny, holier than thou brat who has comments about everything, everyone, their grandmother and their dogs. It's also immensely funny how she's supposed to be love at first sight yet if you flip her off she doesen't seem to have any kind of problem in jumping in the arms of our favorite resident [censored] Edorem. And don't get me started on when she gets kidnapped, the world stops turning until you get her back. Oh, yeah, the demon who tries to tear her away from you by stripping you of all charisma-enhancing items goes straight in the Hall of Shame. Then the cherry on the sundae comes when you bang the Drow in Ust Natha or become a god. Seriously, the creators of this crap are so full of [censored] you'd need an entire galaxy to store those massive egos. Hey, Marty, I have an idea - how about we both register at the official forums of this POS, talk trash about it, and see who gets banned quicker?

Back to the subject at hand - I don't think SK broke the romance. My best guess is that you're stuck with a specific talk which is triggered in specific conditions. Best of luck if you decide to play it till the end - I just couldn't do it.

 

Disciple, please find someing else to ***** about. The mod isn't that bad. I enjoyed it. Atleast its not boring like other mods like Tashia. I killed her after about the third love talk. Maybe your just too evil and lack the refinement to enjoy a paladin romance. I might just install Saerileth again to see what happens when you assend to Godhood. If I remember correctly, doesn't Viccy

First, Viccy does NOT die of [censored] HEARTBREAK. She quietly lets you ascend to godhood if you so desire. And while we're on Viccy, I enjoyed her romance from the first to the last moment. Unlike our resident whiny brat, Viccy has a spine, an attitude, and this romance has, more important, SPICE. EXCUSE me for liking my chicks with an ATTITUDE. EXCUSE me for not waiting till marriage to bang a chick. EXCUSE me for not wanting to help out everyone, their dogs and their grandmothers. EXCUSE me for being a selfish bastard. Well, it mainly stems from not liking the module & the fact that the makers of the mod will ban you from their forums if you say ANYTHING bad about the mod.
If you don't believe me just head over there & read the good-bye thread that some members posted after watching people who had written positive reviews of it but asked about the teenage part(notice they just ask about it, not disparage it) got jumped on by the authors & then told to quit posting as critiques are NOT welcome unless they are positive. They then lock the thread & ban a couple of posters & continue to abuse others until a bunch leave(some of them with a couple thouasnd post counts to their name)

The reviews(except for the ones that bear a strong resemblance to the over-the-top exuberance of some of the saerileth mod reviews) are mostly not very nice.
Apparently proof-reading was very lax(or totally lacking)

 

Vhailor, i enjoyed the Saerileth mod greatly aswell.

I recall that little drama that the creators of the mod stirred up. That was several years ago. I find it peculiar that many people still carry around the angst of that situation like it happened yesterday. There are plenty of fan created NPCs that are far worse (clarification - I'm not necessarily saying that the Saerilith mod is bad, as I don't care to get into that fanatical discussion) that no one cares enough to really even say anything bad about. But with Saerilith, the haters are driven by great passion, even after all this time. I can't help but marvel at the strange phenomenon.

 

on a completly unrelated topic, i have now just downed draconis, using the spell trigger and contingency to down him, anyone find it odd sometimes 3 horrid wilting spells will sometimes only wound him to badly wounded, and sometimes kill him? was funny though, because he just stood there watching imoen, i think he was trying to use an ability... then he attacks her with some damaging effect or normal attack or something and bam hes down due to contingency lol
