I assume you mean push-bikes there, Silvery, as opposed to the motorised variety. And meh, there are two lanes on a dual carriageway for a reason. Just treat the cyclists like you would a lorry. They are in enough danger being there as it is without anyone making things worse for them.

When they ride around at night with no reflective clothing on and it's rush hour, the danger is their own doing

What is really annoying me right now is a little piece of chicken that is caught in my back teeth. Time to go and hunt up some dental floss.

Right now? The fact that my wife is hogging my computer. It has all the games, music, movies, and everything else I use...and here I'm stuck using a laptop that has little more than an internet browser, an office suite, and security software. :bang:

Another thing that's *really* annoying me is the lousy stock market. While I haven't lost any money (yet), it's still annoying seeing my gains so pathetic. :bad: :rolling:

[IMG] It's annoying me that the computer I have to use for the internet is really quite a chore to use, it's going fast today and all but that will stop when I hit post most likely! Half the pages I try and load don't bother :(

Also annoying it's taking quite a long time to actually work on Mazzy where I'm sharing a power cable :xx:

It's annoying that the stupid godawful .pdf I printed is wasting so much paper. And damn it, it just jammed my printer. I hate .pdf files. They should just all go die in a freaking fire.

Related to that, I hate chain letters. Facebook will be closed unless you forward this. Send this to 100 people or a starving orphan with super AIDS and double cancer wont get to see her 5th birthday. I cant think for myself so I send all these stupid chain letters because I think it makes me look cool and popular.

I hate not feeling like doing any work, because I always feel guilty afterwards, and wish I had just got on with it and done work.

People who play music aloud on their mobile phones on public transport.

People who eat smelly food on public transport - that includes most fast food for me.

Rude youths and dangerous yobs who kill people for fun.

Political correctness - can we call a spade for a spade for a change?

PR, marketing and advertising - sorry, it just irritates me.

Oh yes, I forgot about chain letters. THOSE are really annoying. The other irritating thing is the friends who send them to you who you think should be smart enough not to pass it on in the first place.

Telemarketers. I tried to have a nap after my early morning wake up, and one of their recordings woke me up earlier than I planned...

Chain letters are the reason there's a delete option in your mail program...

Hey! I love .PDFs! Without them, there wouldn't be an easy way to email myself magazines so I can read them at work... :bad: Being able to remove all the AD pages is a nice touch. :D :rolling:

Just a guess, but it may have something to do with the fact that his boss keeps calling your cell phone...

I hate them. However if you get a person on the other end try a funny answer.
My personal favorite is: House of the lord, god speaking :)

My favourite answer to telemarketers is "I am not interested". I have managed to get one or two annoyed with me ("OK, if you don't want to save money with me!" - there was of course no money to be saved!), which I consider a victory of sorts. :flaming: :nolike:

The answer I would prefer to give them is not even remotely printable in any reasonably polite forum, much less on SP. ;)

I remember getting a telemarketer called, and asked to speak to the house owner (I rent). I asked, "Why?" and he said, "Goodnight sir". he knew it would be more trouble than its worth.

Lately we dont get any, because our new house has a phone that has been removed from the advertising list. Not sure how it works but it means if a company calls us for telemarketing they can get into legal trouble.

Now, if I was going to be devious, I would register as many phone numbers as I can for this (without the owners consent of course). Nothing would make me happier than to remove telemarketing from this world.

I've got one. How about mass stereotypes/ignorance about China? These are pretty much available everywhere, could be seen in basically all Hollywood movies (Curse of the Dragon Tomb...blah), and range from amusing to downright insulting.

Here's something from the Press (newspaper) this morning (paraphased):
"The Great Wall of China was built in the 6th century to keep out Northern invaders during the warring states. It remains the Ming Dynasty's greatest achievement."
The Great Wall was built in the 2th Century BC by the Qin Dynasty, who ENDED the warring states by conquering all the other states. The Ming Dynasty (15, 16th century) added to it, but it was not their construction. At least they got the Northern invaders part right.

Seriously, would it kill them to hit Wiki once in a while?

The next time I hear the words harmony, prosperity, serenity or spirituality in relation to China (or Chinese philosophy), I'm going to freaking puke.

People coming and asking me something they could easily look up themselves if they put some thought to the matter, and them doing that every five minutes when I try to work on two or three things simultaneously anyway. Stop bugging me, you lazy bastards and bastardettes!

    RTFM!

PS: Hah, but just like I cannot play evil characters in RPGs because it breaks my heart to be so very evil, I almost always help. Almost always :heh:

@Rags: A good way of helping would be to show them which page in the manual the answer is on. "See, if you read on from here..." ;)
