Always had a vague desire to play the piano. I had only really decided that I was going to make the attempt when my parents sold ours. Quite a pity- it was nice (if dusty), but as no-one had been playing it, I suppose they couldn't have seen much point in keeping it.

Gnarff, I hope your back improves in the near future.

As for books, I used to work in a bookstore and we had couches for people to sit in and relax while they previewed a book. You wouldn't believe the stuff some people got up to on those couches. People are filthy!

We also had to keep an eye on the smut sections because pre-pubescent boys would steal the stuff. Dirty little beggars!

When I was growing up we had two pianos. One was really nice that we kept in the living room and the other was just ok and it was kept under the stairs. I don't remember what we did with the second piano but the good one was given to my older sister when my dad passed away and my mom moved out of the old house.

Piano is my favourite instrument, cello being second.

I'm not musical at all, so my parents never took me seriously when I had a vague desire to play the piano...
They thought I was joking. Can't blame them. I can't sing. At all.

I love to play the keyboards, though. Shorter and easier stuff, sure, but I'm happy. At first I had the digits numbered so I would know where do-re-mi starts, but now I simply follow the remembered finger patterns.

My musical hearing sucks, but my memory is ok, so I enjoy playing. The audience might disagree. :p

I don't think I could ever became very good with the piano.

I do plan to purchase some sort of elementary piano textbook, the kind six year olds use. I could have fun and annoy my brother at the same time.

@ Loreseeker, thanks. Now I just have to figure out what to study.

ION, Iron Man was great! I've never been one of those Comic Book Guys, but these new superhero movies (Spiderman & Batman) are capital.

ninja edit: Who are those 18 people who've played over 21 mumorpugers?

So hot...if I wasn't moving out of my flat fairly soon, I'd complain about the ridiculously hot radiator.

I used to play the piano. Haven't played in years though, so I've probably completely lost it. It's a shame, I really should go back to it.

I need to keep practising guitar... It's so cool when you suddenly realise you can play a song you've been trying for ages :)

Today was a good day, I got through until 4:30 pm before going for the pain killers. I'd like to avoid moving up to stronger pills as ling as I can. I just think that perscription drugs will be more expensive than I can afford. Ideally, I can recover and then work on losing some weight...

Yup. I was so pumped when I learned to play Purple Haze on the accordion. And Stairway To Heaven on my kazoo was, well, heavenly.

    :p

I can play several Iron Maiden songs on the spoons...

We should start a band consisting of an accordion, a kazoo, the spoons, and maybe a washboard! :rolling:

That's nothing. You should hear my elastic-band-twanging interpretation of Behemoth.

I went through two jumbo packs just trying to learn a single song. :(

Hmmm...we need someone who can play a wood saw. :shake:

In other news... If commercials are geared towards a target audience, then apparently only single people with serious acne and bladder control issues watch late night TV. I wonder if there's a connection. :rolling:

I stopped practising after I learned all the Zeppelin, Beatles, CCR and AC/DC songs I wanted. Now I just play weird funky stuff with bass. And the Ghosbusters theme :p .

    Real life sucks.

Constantly behind schedule... and things to do keep multiplying.

I need a Time Stop spell. Several of them.

    The spell name is "StopWastingYourTimeOnSPAndDoSomethingProductive"

    :p

Edit: not sure why there's a space in between the i and the v. I didn't put it there. And my edit confirms it. :hmm:

Edit #2: I just learned how to play AC/DC's "Hells Bells" with armpit farts.
How can life get any better? :p
