    Mine in no order:

    Oasis
    The Clash
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Manic Street Preachers
    Ocean Colour Scene

Basically, anyone capable of releasing loads of albums and still maintaining a high level and sounding good.

    For me, probably:

    The Beatles
    Billy Joel
    Hayley Westenra
    Alanis Morissette

There would probably be about another 6 other artists tied in 5th place, including people like Elton John and Heather Nova.

    Collective Soul
    The White Stripes
    The Wallflowers

ummm.....Madonna should be on there to, not because I especially like her but shes stayed relevent in the music industry for what....like 26 years.....that is why the Rolling Stones should be on here too.

Right now, only U2 comes to mind. Too many others competing for the other 4 spots, I'll put them in later once I've had time to think about it.

This is for top 5 consistent great production (as in, not including potential?), so...

    Dark Tranquillity
    Megadeth
    Helloween

Erm, not sure on the rest. There are a bunch that I like everything from, but they aren't really epic like the above...

Today, my list would be this...

    Chico Buarque
    Mercedes Sosa
    Djavan
    Ray Charles
    SRV

Tomorrow's list could come out completely different.

    Right now?

    Lordi
    Tempest
    Iron Maiden
    Saxon (pre-1995, obviously)
    David Bowie

Keeps changing, obviously. On another day another bands would have made it and so forth.

@ DR - Oasis! Good man. I didn't expect an American to list Oasis in their top 5.

Absolutely. Gas Panic! and Supersonic are two of my all-time favorite songs. F*ckin' in the Bushes is a great workout song. ;)

The Beatles - They made too many great songs to list. Possibly THE most influential rock band in history.

Pink Floyd - Perfected space rock and pleased generations of stoners.

George Strait - 20+ years and still going strong.

Brian Eno - An innovative artist and producer.

Led Zeppelin - A great catalogue of songs. Influenced countless bands that followed.

Eric Clapton probably deserves to be on this list too. His body of work is incredible: Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & The Dominos not to mention his solo work.

    Megadeth
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Iron Maiden
    Rob Zombie
    311

    Almost made the list:
    Old Metallica
    The Offspring :rolling:
