What's your favourite search engine? I was going to post this as a poll but there are so many search engines I thought it would probably be easier as a plain old Topic.

Anyway, mine would be Ask Jeeves with Google as a close second :)

Google, Google, Google, and making the 4th place: Google.

No silly advertisments, just type and go.

I'm old ... so I like Yahoo. It was the first one I used, and still is good.

When that fails, I go to Google.

Haven't been on Lycos since last year when they had Anna Kornokova on the front page.

In the last few years Google became one of the most popular search engines. Before that, nobody used Google, but search engines like Altavista. I myself also use Google nowadays.

I use Yahoo mainly. I hate MSN because of the pop-ups. Google is second on my list, but I rarely need it unless I'm desperate.

Google, Monstercrawler, All the web. Google can be a pain when you're searching for something with lots of 'a' 'I' 'the' etc in it, because it auto omits them and AFAIK you can't stop it.

I love Google! The page loads super fast; the search results are displayed fast; if you spell something wrong, it will correct you; on special occasions the logo changes to something cool; and the coolest feature is the exclusion of duplicate search results.

But...for movie info I use Yahoo!, and for music info I use MSN.

That's not true. If your searching for something called: The 'A' of 'I'...try searching for this: "The A of I"...those quotes will make google search for that exact phrase. Searching for stuff on the net can be a pain but if you know what to type to prevent certain stuff from being searched you can find what you want quickly. For example, if you like to look at hot chicks in bikinis, you might want to do a search for women in bikinis, but be carefull, because 99% of the search results will link you to some stupid porn site...so to prevent that, do a search that looks exactly like this:
    "Bikini Models" -nude -XXX
and most of the time you'll get a list of legit websites that don't have porn on them, bur do have bikini models. The (-) sign will omit any sites that have that word in their discription. :rolling:

Again big surprise - mine is Google. I've used it for last four years. Before that I used Altavista.

Google is the best, because it is easy to use, and there aren't ads.

Hell, I use all of them.

First I use Google, btw, you can find things with a or the in them by using quotes, if that doesn't work I go to Yahoo!, and if that doesn't work I Ask Jeeves, and finally I use Dogpile. After that I go back to Google and reword my request. I never use MSN, stupid pop-ups.

Speaking of which, It's remarkably difficult to find pictures of Trogdor the Burninator. Look for pictures, not links. Grrr...

If you want a picture of Trogdor so much why don't you email Strong Bad and ask him for a copy of his drawling? Or try Google Images...

BTW: Homestar Runner is a great site isn't it. :rolling:
