[IMG] Its been done a million times before. But its nice to see how people change their minds about this. Post a reason along with the classes you choose if ya can :)

    Anything goes (Including SK'd parties)

    Anyways mine is:

    Human
    Wild Mage
    9/18/16/18/9/17

I make this guy the prot because I love the mage stronghold. My fave. Wild Surges add loadsa fun to the game.

Uses darts and daggers early on

    Elf
    Kensai/Thief mc
    16/19/17/9/9/9

Main backstabber. Specialises in stealth, detect illusions and trap setting. Also my undead killer using Azuredge at range.

Uses katanas and axes (quarter staves late on in ToB)

    Dwarf
    Beserker/Druid mc
    18xx/16/18/10/16/15

My healer. Strange to be a dwarven druid but i like it :) Good fighter too, I found.

    Uses dual weilding scimitars.

    Elf
    Archer
    14/19/17/10/13/(cha low as pos)

One of two primary ranged combatants.

    Uses longbows and flails

    Halfling
    WizzieSlayer/Thief mc
    10/19/18/10/10/10

Second ranged combatant and main wizard killer. Specialises in pickpockets, locks and traps.

Uses with shortbows, short swords and maces.

    Half Elf
    Jester
    12/14/16/18/6/15

Backup mage, then sings (I use the Rogue rebalancing -for bards only- that improves his song).

Thought about putting in a sorcerer, but to be honest i'ma little bored of them :) i play a chaotic neutral to chaotic good party usually, and i think these chars fit it well. Guess the alignment of the Wild Mage :D

I might take this through tutu once i've completed it with the NPC party for the first time.

    So post yours :)

Isn't the WS/TH a little redundant? You already have a Kensai/Th, and with the cloak of non-detection, he should serve as just as good for taking out spell casters. I would normally recommend some type of paladin (all the kits are pretty good actually) but that would violate your rule for a CN, CG party.

    For me, Sorcerer
    MC R/C
MC Kensai/Thief (that was a really good pick by the way)
    Undead Hunter
    Blade
    Beserker

Not the power-gamers choice, but lots of fun. I like parties with lots of beef for the front line.

As an aside, I know R/C get druid spells, but they don't get to pick druid HLAs, do they?

No, they get ranger and cleric HLAs unfortunatly.

The WS/T isnt reduntant since I use tactics and improved battles so mages have that cheesey autobuff. besides i like the idea of a ranged mage killer instead of the backstab.

I forgot to mention, the WS/T will specialise in pickpockets, locks and traps. And hes not takin Use Any Item until the thief is level 32 (my new rule :D )

Kensai/Thief is lot of fun to play, but i'm most looking forward to the Beserker/Druid for some reason. Tested him out as a lvl 40/40 and he rocked.

I've always had an aversion to the undead Hunter as i would usually equip an inquisitor with the Amulet of Power... but apart from that the party looks good :)

Male Human Dualed Kensai/Mage - Pro.
    Female Elven Figther/Thief
    Male Elven Ranger Stalker
    Female Human Sorcerress
    Male Gnome - Cleric/Mage
Female Human - Paladin - No kit

With the Paladin having healing ability as does the C/M no need to add a dual class Warrior/Priest to my group. The only thing I can think of is that this is way over power gaming in my opinoin. Most of the time I will leave out the Ranger because I will pick up one NPC at a time to complete their quest. And I normally would take Imoen after Yo. betrays me.

Malovae would that be my Kensai/Mage? I am found of that combo because that was the first character combo I went through with on BG2.

I go for the classics myself:

Human Male Paladin [cavalier] - Two handed swords, axes (throwing), and something blunt for undead
    18/00, 18, 18, 3+, 16+, 18

Elf Female Fighter - bows and swords all the way, baby (with single weapon style for AC and criticals)
    18/9x, 19, 17, 10+, 10+, 10+

Dwarf Male Fighter/Cleric - shield and one-handed cleric weapons, including a sling for ranged
    18/9x, 17, 19, 10+, 18, 10+

Halfling Female Thief - short swords, daggers, and short bows
    17, 19, 16, 10+, 10+, 10

Half-elf Male Bard - odd weapons like halberds and crossbows
    18, 18, 16, 18, 10+, 16

Human Female Conjuror - staves, darts, and daggers
10+, 18, 16, 18, 16+, 18 (CHA high as possible since she's the romantic interest of the party leader  )

Though I've thought of toying with the last two (in order to get one of each race) like this:

    Half-elf Female Bard
    18, 18, 16, 18, 10+, 18 (romantic interest)

    Gnome Male Illusionist
    18
    , 18, 16, 19, 17, 10+

    16/19 (belt)
    18
    18
    9
    18
    18

Slings - until I get Firetooth
    Scimitars - Belm, Spectral Brand
    Party leader and protagonist

    Male Human Fighter/Cleric
    18/67/25 (hammer)
    18
    18
    10
    18
    10

    2 weapon fighting
Crom Faeyr - off hand, Ashideena until I get CF
    FoA - main hand

    Halfling Fighter/Thief
    17/20 (belt) /22 (sword)
    19
    18
    10
    10
    15
    2 weapon fighting
    Celestial Fury, Malakar, Hindo's Doom
Equalizer, Daystar, Answerer, Agryvydal (flaming sword from Gith!)
    Axe of Unyielding
    Cloak of Mirroring
This guy's the bait for those pesky mages

    Female human Bard
    14/20 (belt)
    18
    16
    18
    12
    15

    Vorpal sword, Ravager, Wave
    Gensen and Tuigin shortbows

    Female Human Necromancer
    10
    18
    16
    18
    18
    10
    Staff of the Magi

I wanted to be dual classed for the first two for the high level spells. Everytime I leveled up my necromancer, I couldn't figure out why she could dual class!

Quite a few including bards. Considering they were held in little regard quite a few months ago. Wonder who made em popular  I love them as support characters but i couldnt eat a whole one.

Just made the party, and sk'd it. decided to go skald instead of jester since i have a pickpocketer already and i think ythe attack bonuses will be handier (He has 0 lore due to his low wisdom haha). They are currently parked inside Candlekeep. i'll start playing with them when I complete my first run... although i'm tempted to start now :D

How do you create a multi-class Kensai/Thief? Or do you mean dual-class?

    I am thinking about this..

    Male Elven Ranger - Stalker

    Str 18+
    Dex 19
    Con 17
    Int 10
    Wis 14+
    Cha 10+

    Female Elven F/M/T
    Str 18+
    Dex 19
    Con 17
    Int 18
    Wis 10
    Cha 10

    1/2 Elf or Gnome C/M

    Str 10
    Dex 18
    Con 16
    Int 18 or 19
    Wis 18 or 17
    Cha 18

You will only need these three character to cover a majority of character types (Tank, Archers, Magic users, etc) need to play BG2. In this group I might include a Monk just for kicks.

@Barmy - I think the Kensai/Thief was SK'ed. As to Fel's conjurer and pally being in love; it's just how he wants to play them. I come up with all sorts of background stories for my MP PCs.

Right on, kuemper! :thumb: I always pair up at least two of my characters. It makes for some interesting roleplaying, especially when someone tries to hit on one of them!

    Oh right, thanks.

Will MC'd Kensai/Thiefs and Berserker/Druids only be able to put one star of proficiency slot?... That make sense?

If so, I can't see how they will be very clever!!

No, they'd act like a regular Fighter/Thief with the kit restrictions (+ and -) of a Kensai.
