It's not bad per se, it's just not great... Nothing really exceptional on the X-Box as of yet. Maybe its upcoming online service (X-Box Live) will change things but for now, PS2 remains king... :D :)

[IMG] I bought a box because all my friends have PS2's. The box doesn't suck, but here are my views on it. The games out for it so far aren't all that great by and large, but those that are good are really good I think-like HALO and Morrowind. I think some of the upcoming games are pretty promising and will make the purchase of the box (when it was three bills) worthwhile. I'm looking forward to Knights of the Old Republic, Project Ego, LOTR, and maybe four other games.
The rumors that the box is loud are true, but I don't notice it when I'm playing usually. Also, the controllers are a little too big. As far as it stands in relation to PS2, I think the deuce has really set a standard for various types of games, like Gran Turismo and so on. They look right, play right and they're really well done. The box hasn't gotten there yet, but I have faith in it. As for technical stuff, I really don't know and don't care so much, it didn't motivate my decision. Also, I think some rip on the box because its made by Microsoft and some people hate Microsoft. I guess you choose your poison, Gates or "Sony-Disney-et. al."

It's loud. It's HUGE. It looks crap. It's controller is awful. It has no good games of it's own. It scratches up all the discs you put in there. I used to like Bill Gates. Now i see him as a rich bas**rd who's seen where the money is and is trying to get a piece.

  5. I haven't tried the X-Box yet, but planning to. But still I don't think it can be better than PS2 and all the great games to it.

Hmmm, guess I'll be the X-box defender.

We've had both at our house, and I liked the Xbox controllers much more. Dual joysticks, dual triggers, plus 6-buttons and a directional pad instead of trying to hit the L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons on PS2's tiny little controller. Maybe the wee folk are better suited to the Deux.

The graphics are comparable in general, although the time and money spent making something like Gran Turismo 3 (PS2) really shows. That's Sony's advantage so far.
