Wouldn't a play be e-mail D&D program be cool? Yes yes, I know, you don't really need a program to play D&D over e-mail... But what if there was a program to help things out? You all know how the chess play be e-mail things work. You get the persons attachment, load it up in the program and look at their move then send them a new attachment. Well, what if the program let players decide their action (along with a few dice rolls) and sent it to the DM so he could view it in the program and so on... One can only dream.

IIRC, this was actually done over AOL back in the 1980s. It was pretty cool then. Not sure how successful it would be now though, as most people would expect real-time interactions, like what you get from NWN.

I just thought I'd comment on playing D and D by e-mail. My friends have tried it and it didn't exactly work out. You have to do things in real time for the game to flow propperly. I mean, combat is one of the big problems here as well as PC and NPC interaction.

This isn't exactly D&D but it is very good, you can choose from ten races and twelve classes, if anyone needs a guide when they play...

Anyway it is here if you wanna play :)
