    Worldcom Files Bankruptcy

    As some of you know, this RL cleric has been working in sales at Worldcom selling T1's, T3's, OC3's and other fun stuff. While I still have a job, the company is not doing so well. This is the largest filing of bankruptcy in US (maybe World) History.

    My head is spinning :spin:, but ... that's life in the big city!

    The worst thing that could happen to me personally is that I would have to take a new job, which would mean more "work" and less "Sorcerer's Place" :wail:

    [​IMG] Dude - Just because they're filing doesn't mean they'll actually go under! They have tons o' assets!!! Take K-Mart as a perfect example - they file for bankruptcy every other year...and they still haven't folded!

    If it's any consolation - I was thinking about picking up 10,000 shares or so of Worldcom. At .11/share I could be rich if it goes back up! Which I think it will...

    Bel ... I'm not a big trader, but all shares might be liquidated to pay off creditors, so put your money back in the piggy bank where its safe ;)

    And the truth is, I am 99.99999% sure that they won't fire me. My big question is whether I stick it out while the company restrucutes, or if I cut my losses and move on.
