[IMG] Forgive my insolence... I am a man of the true and good blade no matter sword, axe or halberd and I am quite confused with what char to play... I was thinking about playing with a Dwarven Fighter Dolgan (Raymond Feist ;) ), but I thought it will be quite... how to say it... disgusting, because Imoen is your sister, right... So could you advise me with what to play... I repeat I like clean and good classes like fighters or rangers, so please forgive my insolence and please advise me as good as you can... :)

[IMG] I think you should either play as a Human Ranger or Paladin, especially if you are thinking of export your char to further gameplay, if dont have that in mind you could still go for a fighter... :)

Well if you must be good, and a fighter type, I would recommend a pure fighter.
Then upgrade him to a kit in BG2.

Some of the best NPCs in both BG1 and BG2 are Paladins and Rangers. You can get them into your party easy. Only one good aligned pure fighter in BG1 and the elf is kinda weak.

BG1 is a little short on Good Clerics and Mages NPCs.
You'll need some Neutrals to help you. ;)

Disgusting? I just started a game with a fighter-thief dwarf, just for the 20 Cons.
It looks strange... Was Imoen born of the same mother?
But he fares well, up to now. I named him Gimli because I don't know many, and specialized him in swords because axes aren't great in BG1.

Has anybody played a dwarf? Is it likely for a son of Bhaal? Is there a romance for a dwarf in BG2?

Well, will it be good if I start with a Half-elven/Fighter with Halberds and Long swords? I heard that a good paladin, who'd join you is Ajantis... So no need for paladin...

Best to pick one hand weapon and one missile weapon and put 2 ** each.

I would chose Bows for a fighter.
    Halbreds are nice, but becareful.
Only one +1 Halbred is in the game for a long time.
Easy to get, but the Ranger in HighHedge (Kivan) uses it so you won't want to take him.
Take Minsc then as your third fighter with the Paladin. Spoil warning: Make sure you do Minsc's quest in 10 days or he'll attack your party.
It's a very long time until you can get your hands and the one and only +2 Halbred. ;)

[IMG] And what to do with Khalid?

Well, I will make him as you told me Bastard Swords/Long Bows and later in the game I'll put some on halberds...

You should make him any way you want.
I was just letting you know that magic Halbreds are the rarest weapons in the game. Spears too. :(

So don't have more than one person that uses them or you'll find yourself short on nice weapons.

I think the only NPC that uses Halbreds/Spears is the Ranger Kivan (HighHedge). He starts with 2 ** in them if I recall correctly. So if your main character is also using Halbreds you won't be able to give each a +1 or better Halbred for a long time.

It isn't weird at all for dwarf to be a Bhaalspawn. Each one of them (and there are many) is born of a different mother. In BG2:ToB, there are Bhaalspawns much "weirder" than dwarf (dragon and giant).

You can go for whatever you want. Although there are only specialist wizards, you could dual Imoen to mage and take Coran (cool archer) for thieving.
