Alright, according to the manual a wisdom below 13 will increase the chance that of spell failure. Does this apply to mage spells?

Alright, but the minimum for a priest is 13 wisdom, making any negative affects on priest spells for less then 13 wisdom a moot point.

I know sort of redundent insnt it. who knows maybe they orriginally had thought about a monster that could drain wisdom. That could explain it.

Well in BG2 Anomen has 12 wisdom for awhile, giving him a 5% chance to fail...but that's off topic isn't it?

Well if it has bonuses to 25 shouldn't it have negatives to 1?

Wisdom gives bonus spells to priests so with Wisdom 13, you will have less spells to cast:

    Wisdom 12: failure chance 5%
Wisdom 13: and higher: 0% failure chance

    about bonus spells:

    Wisdom 13: 1 1st lvl spell
    Wisdom 14: 2 1st lvl spells
    Wisdom 15: 2 1st lvl, 1 2nd lvl
    Wisdom 16: 2 1st lvl, 2 2nd lvl
    Wisdom 17: 2 1st lvl, 2 2nd lvl, 1 3rd lvl
    Wisdom 18: 2 ist lvl, 2 2nd lvl, 2 3rd lvl

    etcetera.

A good thing is that in BG1 you can get two tomes of wisdom and in TOTSC one, so at the end your wisdom can be 3 higher...

Wisdom has only affect on priest spells... Mage spells never fail in 2nd edition... you can only fail to learn o spell, not to cast.

I would take a high wisdom cause you get a lot of bonus spells from it. You could have 21 wisdom with all the tomes, that would help a lot if you imported into BG2!

[IMG] Nope, there is no 3rd tome of wisdom in ToSC. There are only the two you mentioned.

Ragusa, its true, if you have ToSC there are a total of 3 Tomes of Wisdom throughout the game, 2 of them are just from the regular BG disks, and a 3rd can be found in Durlag's Tower.
