    Hi!

How do you "make" a disk (floppy) which automates win XP instalation, key, regional settings and other few stuff that need your input (presence) while installing XP?

I want to make one so i can put a CD in the drive and go away from PC and return after 30 min and XP should be installed...

    Thanks!

The only solution that comes to mind, is to make a ghost/mirror copy of a fresh install, then back-it-up to a CD or DVD. :hmm:

Go to the MicroSOB site and do a search for

and much help will be found, specifically this, and also a 170MB Webcast that Billy says is related to the topic (I'll just take his word for it methinks).

If anybody asks, I didn't send you there, OK?

Yeah, all you need is the reskit. It will make some .ini or .inf file, and you can actually copy that into a folder and burn the whole thing off to cdrom.

So when you plop that disk into a drive, it completely loads like a system restore disk. You can even specify packages that you cannot normally select on a "regular" load. So if you don't want paint or charmap, you can deselct those packages.

But it takes the reskit and some hacking. I did it back for Win2k, but I've not even bothered slipstreaming sp1 into XP.
