Just got a new computer with Windows Vista.

TOEE worked fine before I installed the patches, but I've installed the Official patches, patch 2 and patch 3 now (patch 1 is included in patch 2), and now TOEE won't run. I click the desktop icon and the screen goes black like it's gonna go into the game. I can hear the CD buzzing around, but then it just cuts back to the desktop, and the game isn't even running.

    Any help is appreciated.

My advice is to install patch 2 and skip patch 3. I think the only thing fixed by patch 3 is the looting bug. If you get that bug then you could always try installing the Co8 patch (which also fixes the looting bug) on top of patch 2 and hope Co8 is compatible with Vista.

Yup, it worked. Took patch 3 off and just went off of Patch 2 and it worked fine.

    Thanks!
