Any one have an emotional attachment in the game? I do, its sad, I cant help it, I always seem to have minsc, he is a good ranger, and has some of the best lines (go for the eyes boo, go for the eyes, ARGGHH!!!) and maybe attachments to certain weapons (I find myself holding weapons that I will not ever use, but I keep telling myself I will use them, but I never do and I feel guilty when I sell them, if I do) any one like that? at anything? I also never use raise dead on someone I am romancing, I always reload because of my paranoia that the one I am romancing will stop the romance...is it just me? or am I slowly losing it......

 

The first long sword that you find in Irenicuses Dungeon!!!I kept it throught every game and I exported all my characters with it.

I was the one that lent you your first BG game.

We were trading games, I borrowed 8people's Black and white, while 8people borrowed my BG1.

It was hard enough to lent go and stop playing it for a week, and it's just the same with BG2.

the long sword made sense, I was actually hoping for an attachment that is not yourself, or the storyline, no matters! I have an attachment to the normal formation I dont use any others, and I am also attached to swords in general, as long as I am a character that can use them, I will, I never use hammers or flails or any of that, but I will use them WITH a sword (duel weilding, hey, Celestial Fury and my little crommie hammer work beautifully)

 

You know the Sword Of Chaos +2 you get in Irenicus' Dungeon? Yeah well I kept it All the way through BG2. Then when I got to ToB, i was hoping from the bottom of my heart, that Sarevok would recognise it! But no....all he said was "I Live!! Flesh and Blood! I swore i would crawl my way back to the World of the Living, and I have done it! Though my Sword and armour have not appeared...bah! No matter"

I was *SO* dissapointed

 

I just couldn't get myself to kick Jaheria or Minsc out. I have had them EVERYTIME I started a new game.

 

For some reason i always store all of my ammo in a barrel for the whole game.

 

I couldn't get rid of Jaheira or Minsc - then I became evil...

 

I got really worked up over Imoen ... i just had to find her ... to hell with Irenicus ... Imoen was my aim! And also my romance with Viconia ... i just couldn't let her die and when Bhodi took her away, i just had to get Viconia back ... and exact revenge! I mean i was nuts! I'd play for a minute, switch on some heavy metal and punch the air as if it was Bhodi as my target ... i'd also grip my mouse! Damn i get emotional!

 

i too love the sword of chaos. i only get lilarcor when its absolutely vital!

 

i am the same i will keep items that i will NEVER uase and if i sell them i feel like i betrayed the game... i will hold things for no other reason that i like them...i do it with helmets alot to....... i think it cause in bg1 i never could find helmets for my chara. so now i ( out of paranioa) alway have like 2 magic helm per chara.!!!

 

Right now I just took the Sword of Chaos from Minsc and purchased him a Warblade, and now I feel a little guilty selling that sword that could transfer health! Will someone make a MOD where you can upgrade it with Cromwell so I dont have to replace because its only a +2 na....you donthave to, would be fun I also feel bad because I am normally a very good person in the game, but I was lazy in the underdark so I pickpocketed the Gnome with the light gen so I dont have to go fight the demon, when I walked back they have all died....oooopppsss, naughty Elementus, naughty

I think that the 'Ascension' mod has the upgraded sword of chaos +4....

I've got my Cespenar file, which lets you upgrade the Sword of Chaos, together with the Pommel Jewel of the Equializer, to make the Sword of Chaos +5 for ToB.
Only usable by Chaotic Aligned Characters etc etc.
I'll put it here (sp) if anyone wants it.

[edit] As I haven't got Ascension or anything, it won't work with any of the mods that changes the Cespenar File (such as the Weimer-Item Upgrade mod) [edit]

Strange the most recent game i have started on BG2, seems to be the onlyone where I have kicked out Minsc and Jaheira, I;m chaotic evil you see.

 

I dont really get emotionally attached to weapons etc. If i keep them then its because that i think that it may have a use in the future chapters to come. For example, lock of hair, dog meat, scroll with some scribbling on etc.

 

To certain characters, like Minsc, I just feel bad if they aren't in my party.

 

Reading the post by Xander is when I realised another I have, I dont know how many have it, but I MUST be an Elf, if I am anything else I get tired of it and start over as an Elf, I love Elves....elfy elf elf elf elfy elf....oh...did I mention I like Elves? I also noticed I cant be Evil, no matter what. I like RPG's like this because I can play and let my morales do the talking, and if I am anything it would be Chaotic Good, so if I made a character that was supposed to be insane and evil, and played for a few hours I would eventually have a reputation of 20 and just finishing up the druid grove quests.....why me? I feel guilty if I do anything bad...am I.. just...dumb?
