I can not find where to put my two pics I have for BG. On the read me it says put them in the portraits folder(in the install directory for the game). So where is this folder? I really like these pics I found on this website and they are meant for these games.

In your Black Isle/Baldur's Gate folder, there *should* be a folder called "Portraits." If not, just make a new one named that, it'll work.

    IE, make C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\Portraits

Nope. Characters is for your, well, characters. Just right click, hit New..., and Create New Folder. Name it Portraits, paste your pics in there, and awaaaay you go.

I found this really cool picture of a knight and used a program called Photo Fantasy so I could put my face on the night. I put it in the folder, but when I choose the file in the custom portrait screen, all I get is an outline of a head with a question mark in it. Am I doing something wrong?

I can just make a second copy of the picture, and rename each one accordingly, right?

Yes. And remember that portrait size for small ones is 38x60 and for large 110x170 (You can check readme.txt)
