Where is Mystra's Altar?

    Talk to the gnome called Nottle then do over the bridge to the west (I think) and stand on a funny glowing square

    Yeah, the game is most frustrating if just for the bugs in the battles. I have patches 1.1 - 1.4 loaded in climactic sequence and still have problems with the program crashing and the afore mentioned battle lags, but I'm hooked. I keep my fingers crossed for patch 1.5 and up.

    IIRC (and it's been a while since I threw the thing out in disgust), the altar you are looking for is in the far west and south area that is outside (above) the dungeons. (In other words, you pop out of the dungeon, head west, climb up some stairs or rocks (I don't remember), change areas, and presto, have some fights and find the altar. Oh, did I mention the constant "exciting" battles with orcs and undead? Or the skewed way you never seem to hit? Or the fact that you will probably get dumped into Windows or whatever OS you are using seven times before you get that far? Didn't think so. End rant.) I am assuming you made it out of the interminable first dungeon, as I cannot remember the order of quests. The altar is to the west side of the area I described, slightly north of center. There were about three of those snake tings guarding it.

    Thanks DMC, I have only experianced one such dummping. Currently I am running ME and have every thing set to nil or minimum, and display settings are set to an eight pack of crayollas. I do enjoy the RPG flavor the best and therefore I plod forth.
