[IMG] I had a familiar in BGII and when I moved to TOB, I still had it, always in my inventory. I just finished Watcher's keep and I suddenly noticed that my familiar is gone.

I tried to cast find familiar again but I got a message that I already had a fimiliar.

Can anyone help? where did my familiar go? How to get him again? I could use the extra hit points (without cheating).

    Thanks.

I don't know exacly how the familiar thing works, i've almost never used one, but maybe you have put it in a bag of holding or something? Or it has been left somewhere down in the keep?

Other that that, the Nishruus and Hakeshaar (sp?) are notorious for eating away your stuff, if you have encountered any of those, maybe they "ate" your little friend?

[Edit:] just remembererd, if you are given items, have a full inventory and the familiar is in the upper left corner, maybe it was dropped for the new item? I know this happened to me once i remember.

Did you actually lose the extra hit points? because if you didn't actually lose it, then i say good riddiance. that little pest is taking up an inventory slot, and does nothing, so you're better off without it.

I wouldnt worry too much unless you have lost the hp's and the CON penalty.

In a recent game, when I received a quest item and I had a full inventory, my familiar got dropped on the ground to make room for it. It was only by chance that I noticed it.

If you know roughly what areas you have been to since you last remember having it, you might find it on the ground still.
