[IMG] Is anyone still following the Dragon Reborn since Robert Jordan's passing? I finished "Towers of Midnight" a couple weeks ago, and it looks like things are finally coming to a close...Only one book remains.

One thing I like about Brandon Sanderson is that he gets to the action! There's much fewer dress descriptions and "smoothing her skirts/fists on hips" and some of the other extraneous descriptives that left RJ's work a little slow. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good narrative, but some of it got a little old. Overall, I've been happy with the last 2 books and can't wait to see how the Last Battle ends...

I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback. It just took too long for my excitement to stay at such a peak that I am willing to shell out for a hardcover.

Sanderson did a great job on the books. Mostly I can`t even tell its not Jordan himself thats writing. Towers of Midnight is one of the best books in the series, deffinatly. Things are really building up for the final battle now.

I just got the book as a present last night, it is in my queue waiting to be read. I also am a big fan of Sanderson.

I think I made a thread just a bit down just like this. I am very pleased with Sanderson I even think he catches the tedium of braid yanking and skirt smoothing that Jordan brought overboard all too often. It is looking like a worthy ending of the saga.

I just finished it. Good stuff there. Can't wait for the finale.

I can't wait to see what happens to Lan, as he has been the one charater that I can't wait for to come to fullfilment. He is the Aragorn-type of this saga, the last of a dying line. Hopefully he gets to lead the Borderlanders in a glorious charge against the hated, vile shadowspawn.

Just finished it and I really enjoyed it. I also can't wait for the final book to come out in 2012. I hope it has an ending that does the series justice.
