What's Going On? NPCs Appear Busy!

    Alright, literally HALF of the time I click on an NPC to initiate dialogue, I can't because they "appear to be busy". This happens with everyone- the innkeeper of the Copper Coronet, commoners, even people who assign major quests! It's really frustrating me...

    I havent installed anything funky... just the Flirt pack, the Banter pack, and the thing that lets you speed through Chateau Irenicus.

    Does anyone have ANY idea what is going on here, or how to fix it?

    Never had it happen to me, but i have heard that "the patch" (don't know which number) fixes it.

    I found the problem... the recent upgrade the Windows XP is the culprit. All fixed now- thanks!

    Yeah, just download the new patch. Windows XP and one other windows (cant remember which) will get buggy.

    Where do I get this patch and how do I get it to work? Cause everything else, other patches and Mods I've tried don't work, or I'm just computer illiterate enough that they stump me.

    If anything else doesn't work I have solved it saving, exiting and loading the game. Annoying, but goes on.
