What is wrong with these people?

    I was just at Woodfield Mall earlier today. It seems I left too soon (or maybe just in time) and missed a bit of excitement.

    Some idiot decided to re-enact a scene from the movie Blues Brothers and drove their car into Woodfield mall from Sears to Macy's (former Marshal Field's).
    It seems he took pains to make sure nobody got hit, but what is wrong with these people? Why would they do something like that?

    Incidentally, From time to time they have had cars, jeeps, pickup trucks, SUVs, etc on display inside the mall. I've always wondered how they got them inside as I can't really see any service entrances big enough to drive them through and all the normal entrances have door frames too small as well with multiple doors across but the frames would block it. I've wondered this pretty much all my life since I saw the first vehicle display when I was a little boy.
    Somehow I doubt that the above is how they got in.

    Sometimes as simple as, because it can be done. Sometimes to impress a girl with the most stupid behaviour imaginable.
    In a few times something like that happened because of strokes or heartattacks or cramps that happened and had the unfortunate driver unvoluntarily kicking the gas.

    Everything that can be assemblied, can be disassembled again. And assembled again.
    Or they did use a crane to heave it through an opening in the roof. Temporarily removing large glass fronts to create a large enough opening would be a way too.
