Hi. I'm jerlark, new to this forum. To learn more about the tactics people like to use, I decided to post this topic. Personally I feel the best class comb is mage/thief. Invisibility spells to a backstab is simply irresistable. Also if you want to improve your thaco just castTenser's Transformation, hide in the shadows and then bam! The person you attack is as good as dead! I aslo like Fighter/Mage for its sheer damage potential. I noticed something else too. When you dual class a fighter to mage, you still gain bonuses to your thaco even after the first class is already active. Is'nt that cool

Hey Jerlak, I like the fighter/cleric dual.
Most off fighters hp, Full weapon specialization in the cleric weapons, and almost all cleric spells.

I like halfling berserkers ( I know I'll get at least Ragusa's concurrence there, in terms of legit characters, anyway :D), rangers (no kit), Avenger Druids, conjurers and blades.

I like Cavaliers a lot. I have also recently figured out that Blades and Assassins are better than I thought. I kind of liked assassins anyway but now I think they are even better. Like I said Cavaliers are good. Actualy all Paladins are. I have finished the game as an Inquisitor and it was very fun. I usualy don't like multi or duel classed characters but some are ok like the fighter/theif and fighter/mage.

    Heh another spam heaven...

Generally I prefer pure class, the coolest?

Here it goes: dwarf berserker, half-orc barbarian, elf archer, halfling assasin, half-elf skald and human sorcerer.:heh:

Undead hunter! I wouldn't like to be in the back casting spells -- personally whacking big scary monsters is a great stress reliever -- and level drain is really annoying.

    Stress reliever?

Anyway, undead hunters are cool but I think Calvaliers are better. They have lots of resistances and their only disadvantage is they can't use missle weapons. I don't know about you but with my Inquisitor in my first game I didn't use missle weapons with him at all. Besides if you want to do longrange combat with him use one of those good throughing axes. But you are right the vampires are annoying so it would be nice to have someone that could take them out fast.

Hey... Do you know of any other class that gets to have almost complete immunity to magic, such cool abilities and so many attacks per round (ok, except maybe from the kensai)? They also have the quickest level advancing (with Clerics). Monks Forever!!!

  12. I personally think the multi-classed figter-mage is my fave character. Wearing the elven chain-mail and dual-wielding crom and fury (hey, crom fury! or celestial faeyr, nice!) plus being able to dish out super spells, especially with TOB. Can'y get any better than that.

[IMG] Monks are worth it. I have just completed the game as a Monk and they are very powerful at higher levels but it takes time.

My monk is weaker than minsc but I only need 3 more level ups to 12 so my fists are +2. That will reduce my THACO that is 10 now.

Monk is good.. Maybe not the coolest.. Sorcerer is the coolest..

[IMG] I just love thief/mage combo!

A little tiny lady that kick's yer ass via spells and picks yer pockets as well

Cavaliers, because 1.Resistances to fire and acid, immunity to charm, fear, and poison. 2.Lay on hands, remove fear, detect evil, protection from evil. 3.Bonuses against dragons and demons (the strongest enemies on the game) 4.The ability to equip Carsomyr, the strongest weapon in the game (after Crom Faeyr)

And all that for sacrificing ranged weapons.
