[IMG] Yes, I know Xmas is still a week away, but you can still list what you are *giving* along with anything you know you will get...if you're the snooping type. :p

So have at it! What did you give and what did you get for Xmas?

    For my wife, I'm giving:
    • A computerized paper cutting machine for her scrap-booking habit
    • A Creative Zen V Plus Mp3 player
    • A case/armband for said Mp3 player
    • A gift set from Jägermeister
    • A huge book on cats
    • 3 pairs of flannel "jammie pants" from Victoria's Secret
    • A custom made frame for a painting we got on our Honeymoon
    • Guitar Hero II and III game and guitars
    • Random accessories for the computerized paper cutting machine, and a bunch of other scrap-booking stuff.
    • A $20 gift card to Circuit City
    For friends and family:
    • 3 gift baskets for our married friends. They have a gift set from either Jägermeister or Kahlua, a blanket, candy, and a bunch of stuff my wife also put in there.
    • $20 gift cards to random stores for all my family who are out of state.
    • A horribly ugly tie for my idiot uncle.
    • A book for my cousin
    • A huge gift basket for my cousin who just had her baby on the 16th.
    • And probably some other stuff once I get some more money

    I Got:
    • An Xbox 360.
    • Halo 1, 2, and 3
    • Bioshock
    • Gears of War
    • The Family Guy Game
    • 2 tickets to a Linkin Park concert
    • Golden Sun 2 (I've been looking for this for over a year now)
    • A new pair of leather gloves
    • Mr. Bean's Holiday - with a Mr. Bean Bobble-Head
    • A pack of underwear (even though I said I didn't need nor want any) :skeptic:
    • Some cash from my parents who have been gone for several months now
    • The Lord of the Rings (Platinum Series Special Extended Edition) Box set
    • A pack of LED nightlights for the apartment
    • A $25 gift card to Chili's, which we already used
    • A new TV stand to replace our current one, which is too small for our TV
    • A ton of candy
    • A mini glass sword, made by the same guy who made my other one I got a few years ago.

    Your turn! :D :rolling:

Well, not much going out or in for me.

    Giving:
Paraplaning (i think thats what its called, like being on a glider with a seat and a big fan on the back...) For my dad.
Err, i'd love to say what im getting for my mum, but my sisters are sorting it out.
For my sisters: £10 worth on NZ Dollars for her trip in Jan, and something small for my other sister (were putting money in a kitty for New Year)
For my best friend: Seasons 1 and 2 of House
For my grandparents: Clarkson's new book and lots of chocolate.

Hmm, thats about it on the giving front.

    Receiving:
From my parents im getting my New Year payed for (my family goes to a big country club place for 2 nights to celebrate New Year with a Ceildh n stuff, so my parents pay for it as a Crimbo present.)
I *think* my best friend is getting me vouchers to go Rock Climbing, to see if i enjoy it.
From various relatives i'll probably be getting money/vouchers for shops.
Dunno what my sisters are getting me.

    I also treated myself to:
    Wii
    Fencing Lame
Paying of debts (dunno if that counts as a treat tho...)

Hmm, I've received some nice homemade foods already that are being eaten. There are a couple of gifts awaiting opening.

    Giving:
    * Many, many loaves of cinnamon swirl bread. Count is around 50 at the moment and will be around 60 by Christmas Eve. I somehow got into baking for all the people I sing with in our choir, so that accounts for most of that, then the rest is for all the people I can't think what to give.

    * For older nieces and nephews, gift cards to stores they told their parents they like. Kind of tacky but it means they'll actually get something they want.

    * For younger nieces and nephews, toys and books, according to lists provided by parents.

    * For several local charities, some wrapped toys to be handed out for needy kids, several small donations for their outreach services to homeless, mentally ill, and hungry people. It's not all about me, even if I sometimes act like it is.

Giving: UFC greatest Knockouts DVD for my Father, Redneck Comedy Roundup for my Mother and a Rob Zombie DVD package for my Brother (Already bought).

Still to buy, a Walmart Gift Card for Grandma, I'm probably going with a Joke T shirt or a few (depends on the price, I could get three or four for what I've spent on others) for my Brother's GF, For Granny, I have no clue, but don't feel so bad as my mother is also stumped, and something cheap for a gift game that we play on my Mother's side of the family (under $10 or $15, to remain a mystery. I'm hoping that it's something fun).

I may, finances permitting, get something for my buddy's 2 kids (and maybe him and his fiance).

I haven't received anything, but usually get some junk food, a subscription to the Hockey News and some cash/gift cards...

I'm thinking of going to the local thrift store to get an audaciously ugly gift of some sort to start a "White Elephant" tradition where the same gift is re-gifted to someone eles in the family every year.

Awhile back, when my sister still lived here, the White Elephant gift she loved to give was an old brest pump. :bad: I won't do anything like that...

Anyone else do the White Elephant thing? :rolling:

The wife and I opened one present tonight (Xmas Eve). I surprised here with the custom frame and painting already hung above our front door. I went for the really small box she had as a stocking stuffer since she hinted that it was really expensive...it turned out to be two tickets to see Linkin Park in concert!

Being the smart ass that I am, I told here that now I have to figure out who I'm going to take. :rolling:

I seem to have gotten an impressive amount of stuff (probably because my mother enjoys spending money, and seeing I never have any to buy stuff I want for myself, I don't try terribly hard to dissuade her...).

    I got:
The Witcher (A hard flip up between NWN2+MotB there...)
    Geneforge 4
Threads (the cold war BBC show)
The Heart of Everything - Within Temptation
The Dance - Within Temptation (oh so long I have wanted this...)
    Dark Passion Play - Nightwish
In the Realms of the Unreal (documentary on Henry Darger, the only thing relating to him that's remotely in any acceptable price range)
Grave of the Fireflies (impulsive request after seeing multiple threads on widely differing forums proclaim it the most depressing movie ever)
KotR (unfortunately, I already have this, wanted KotR2...)
    The Stand by Stephen King

    I gave:
Two David Bowie CDs to my mother.
And Edward Scissorhand to my sister.
As well as chipping in money for presents to other people (I think - I don't think any money has actually changed hands as of yet, but I think it shall...)

So yeah, I seem to have picked up a lot and given quite a little. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but it will certainly be enjoyable...

The only change to what I was giving was that I didn't give my sister-in-law the wine, I made the port a joint present

    As for what I got:

*A pack of Jack Daniels playing cards
*A hug from my youngest nephew - apparently he NEVER hugs anyone and my mother was quite put out when he hugged me, though that actually started the night before whit him demanding I come here straight from work, then giving the presents barely a glance this morning before telling everyone excitedly that I was here
*Lian Hearn's "Grass For His Pillow", now I just need to buy the rest of the Otori books
    * A desperatley-needed bagless vacuum cleaner
    * An internet-capable computer

Quite a nice little haul really :D

I got a scarf from my sister (best Christmas present EVER), and from my folks drivers school (1000$), so I'm content... I haven't bought anything for my friends and family because I don't have any money...

But I'm asking God to bless my nearest, and of course, certain someone... :)

I got my wife home for the holidays (and the baby is doing okay as well). That's all that matters to me.

T3 took in the huge haul every kid dreams of. His grandparents (and parents) are spoiling him with more toys than I ever had.

Gave: Nothing. I hate Xmas and this is my way to protest again this overtly commercial POS.

Got: A spanking new PS2 + SD VS Raw 2K8 + some cash. I clearly indicate that no one had to get me something, but it's still a nice thought.
