I have travelled to Imnesvale in the Umar Hills to assist with the problem they face with the attacks on the village. I have encountered all manner of strange creatures during my stay here, from monstrous beings with kind hearts to feral shapeshifters seeking revenge on the darkness.

I have been lead to an abandoned temple, from my education at Candlekeep I seem to recognise some of the symbolism as Amaunator, a god of the sun that predates the Morrninglord Lathander. I have so far encountered the ghost of a child who was chosen of this deity to represent him on earth and the most violent shadows I could dreamt of, among the debris, rubble and cryptic mutterings of fervant ghosts I have stumbled upon the remnants of the previous group who have travelled here to aid in the current hardships.

She says her name is Mazzy. A simple warrior of Avoreen, a halfling deity. She seems skilled and isn't shirking to assist against her former captors, her priority seems to find her love, another halfling by name of Patrick. Her hope is a dim light in this place, but a light nontheless, I can only hope we find him in one of the rooms ahead.

The rest of the party is resting currently. Fitfully. We have found a special chamber that amplifies the special qualities of these sun gems that have been discarded and left as dusty remnants of glory days. It keeps the shadows away, for now.

In what counts for morning on our unstable sleep schedule we shall be heading onward, Mazzy informs me the Shade Lord is getting stronger by the hour, using Merella the local ranger as a host, while I am loathe to leave her under his dominion, we cannot face him unprepared.
