[IMG] Come on, I know that some of you have something completly and utterly useless you want to contribute, whether it is the exact date that the gun was invented to some obscure belief in some obscure god of some obscure century. Well don't let your useless knowledge be wasted, post it here!

I love this! My friends say I know a lot of useless things anybody wouldn't even try find interesting. :p

The highest mountain in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) is Adam's Peak, a.k.a Pidurutalagala.

Some Dutch words in England/America: Apartheid, Aardvarken, Kloof, ...

A Dutch Hooker is a specific ship.

There is no foreign word that matches the Dutch word 'Gezellig' (sort of Cousy, a nice atmosphere at a birthday-party or a diner with your family f.e, are often 'gezellig')

The skin is a humans biggest organ.

    Lenin's real name was Oeljanov.

Ee is old Dutch for water in the west and north of the Netherlands. So is Aa in the south and east. Edam, so, means Waterdam. Breda would be Widewater. Zierikzee (des heren Diederick's ee) Water of Lord Diederick) Gouda means Golden Water but Gouda isn't in the east, nor the south. Dilemma!

You hear your clock ticking, but 5 seconds ago you didn't.

In those cowboy movies, you always see them riding on horses while shooting bullets up in the air. Not very smart.

Using physics, the bullet should make a parabolic trajectory and end up landing right back onto the cowboy, thus killing him! (Assume the horse moves at constant speed in a straight line)

The name "The Dark Project" comes from the escape mission. You read about it in a book.

It's literally that. A plan to extinguish all the electric lights in the work. The idea being that darkness spurs the imagination. People huddled around one fire, scared of moving too far away from it, cut off from the other groups of people huddled around other fires.

So, he was going to open a portal to the "lower planes". And let in all sorts of beasts, which would start wiping out people and scatter them. So they wouldn't have the collective resources to lighten the world.

Also, you can block open the cathedral doors with a skull just as well as a rib cage. And if you time it just right, you can drop a zombie with an arrow in an area which you'll not be going too. Taking him out of the equation.
