Upgrading equipment from the OC

    Hi,

    I used the forge in Chapter 1 to make a magic greatsword (Hrabringer Kin).

    Can this item be further upgraded? How?

    I just started Chapter 3...

    Nope. The OC didn't include upgrading weapons like they added to HotU. Basically, what you put in the forge is replaced by a pre-scripted weapon.

    There is however another forge that gives higher-level (I hesitate to say better because of my experience with the Namarra Neversleep forge weapons) weapons of similar type. I can't remember where/which chapter though.

    Look for the smith in Beoruna's Well. He'll make weapons with greater enchantments for you. (It's quite expensive, too, and of course you need the specific magic reagents). You cannot upgrade the one you got in chapter 1 (unless you want to use it as the magic weapon the process requires; but then any magic weapon of the proper type would do).

    Sure, if you start with your character from the OC. You can upgrade anything there :)

    Beoruna's Well is the name of the village/camp you find yourself in at the beginning of chapter 3 (in the OC). You said you just started Chapter 3, right?

    Just check the houses in the village, there will be a smith in one of them.

    I tought that Luskan was Chapter 3, sorry :)

    Now, I really just started Chapter 3.

    Ok, I'll check it out.

    Any way to make a keen greatsword?

    Not unless any of the prescripted greatswords has the keen property and I don't think any of them does.

    The smith in HotU offers such an upgrade, but that's because he adds properties onto existing weapons instead of just replacing them.
