[IMG] I had tried to install BG a while ago and it didn't work, so I uninstalled it. Or so I thought.

I went to install it again, to see if it would work, but somehow my computer thought that BG was BG2 and that BG was still installed on my computer.

I uninstalled BG2 to see if that would help, and then tried to uninstall BG.

I am unable to uninstall BG because my computer can't find "Uninst.isu".

    Can anyone help?

EDIT: I am running Win2K Pro on my computer.

Maybe you installed on the same directory in the same map, so the computer thinks it is one thing.
So i suggest you use "search" to find the file, or just erase all BG and BGII files from the computer and install it again.

But if BG is illegal it will automatic say it can't be unistalled, the computer said it on my install.

A: Reformat your hard drive (always fun but annoying)
B: Use system restore to before you installed baldur's gate. Not always possible.

I had this problem, too, actually, but with BGII where I uninstalled but it didn't let the computer know... oh well. Hope this helps.

Choose "Run" on your start menu and open "regedit". In regedit, either do a search for "baldur", or look it up yourself (you should find it under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE) and delete the folders with BG 1 stuff. If you've done this correctly, you should be able to install the game again.
