Is it true that there's a bug that allows you to get two strongholds, as long as Fighter is one of them?

How would I exploit this? I'm playing a Berserker, but I plan on dual classing to Cleric later on.

I'm currently in the underdark, and have not reached the level that I want to dual at yet (I'm level 11, I want to switch at level 13).

I have completed the DeArnise Hold, but I HAVE NOT accepted it yet (I wanted Imoen to get the big XP bonus).

Can I get both the Cleric and Fighter Strongholds when I get back into Amn in Chapter 6? How do I do this?

    TIA

To get both strongholds, you MUST do the non-fighter stronghold first. After that, you will be given the option from Nalia to have your keep too. If you do it the otherway around, you will not get your other classes stronghold.

    Have I ruined it then?

I did Nalia's keep, but I did not accept it yet. I planned on accepting it after completing the Cleric Stronghold.

I'm not sure. Try it and find out, but you may well have.

This does work. I always do it this way. I complete Nalias, say I'm not ready yet, complete the other stronghold and then go back for the fighter stronghold.

[IMG] There is a patch witch allows you to play them all, very fun too.

I can confirm that delaying your acceptance is a viable strategy.

    Re: delaying accepting the Keep

Does it matter if my Fighter class is activated or not?

If so, should I go for it when my Fighter class is:

    a) Active
    b) Not active yet.

    TIA

I'm not sure what you mean by "active."

I know that one of the ways to get potentially all strongholds is by editing your character class just before the dialog with the character who gives you the stronghold - Lazok outside the sphere, for example.

By "active" I mean "Cleric level has surpassed my Berserker level, activating the abilities I gained before dual classing (and don't have access to before that point)."

I think that if you've dual-classed from fighter into cleric, you cannot get the fighter stronghold at all.

I should be out of the Underdark in a few days.

    I'll update this thread then.

    ON EDIT:

Well, it did not work. Nalia joined up with me, but didn't offer me the keep.

I was a level 13 berserker / level 14 cleric at the time I spoke to Nalia.

Interestingly, I am NG alignment, yet I have the temple of Helm as my stronghold.
