Just heard a song on the radio which has the line "I Need A Hero ...". The song is called "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler (Found this much with Google). This song was used as the theme song for some old spy TV show. What was the name of the show?

According to wikipedia, the show was Cover Up; it was originally from Footloose.

Since when is a show from the 80s 'old'? :geezer: I loved that show. Too bad Jon-Eric shot himself. :(

Yes, "Cover Up" is the show I was trying to remember. I thought that it was older - like from the 70's. It had the lovely Jennifer O'Neill as the heroine. I also remember the show fondly. But if I saw some repeats it might bust the fantasy bubble.

I will have to start using wikipedia in addition to Google. I've heard of it but never used it.

The Bonnie Taylor song "Holding Out For A Hero" has been used in several movies according to imdb. (btw Footloose has nothing to do with Cover Up) I never knew it was a real song, just thought it was a theme song created for the TV show. Now I have to go and download a copy. But I can never hear it without seeing the opening credits for Cover Up in my mind.
